This isn't so bad. At least once in a while, anyway.
Kazusa Kyouyama (杏山カズサ in Japanese) is one of the characters of the 2021 roleplay game Blue Archive who studies in Trinity General School and wields a Machine Gun. She is a member of the After-School Sweets Club, a chill club all about enjoying all kinds of sweets. Unlike the other members, Kazusa came from quite a different past that not many people know of.
She was first featured as a supporting protagonist in the "Sister and the Magician of the Old Bookstore". She also appeared as the main protagonist during the "A Tale of After-School Sweets" side event, where Kazusa confronted her "rival" Reisa Uzawa while also facing the past she wished to just disappear. She also appeared in the "-ive aLIVE!" side event, where she and her After-School Sweets Club friends formed a girl band. In the main story, she appeared as a side character during the first and second chapters of the final volume, "Where All Miracles Begin".
Personality[]
A laidback member of the After-School Sweets Club that, like all of its members, enjoy eating sweets. Although she's often getting dragged around by her club members into some wild shenanigans, Kazusa appears to be quite fond of these moments. However, not many people know of her past of being a delinquent under the name "Cath Palug", who was said to be incredibly menacing. Upon seeing a regular girl enjoying her time eating sweets as a normal schoolgirl, Kazusa decided to change herself. She claimed this was her epiphany, where she realized her past life of being a delinquent bragging about what she's capable of doing was cringe in reality, hence why she now wishes for that past of her to be forgotten.

Trivia[]
Kazusa's nickname when she was a gangster was "Cath Palug".
In Welsh legend, Cath Palug was a monstrous cat that terrorized the isle of Anglesey before being put down by Cai (Sir Kay) under the orders of King Arthur, losing 9 scores (180) of soldiers during the battle.
In alternate tellings, King Arthur himself slayed the cat.
Its etymology is unclear, which is why there are a variety of translations of its name, including:
Palug's cat
Clawing cat
Bog cat
Her weapon, Mabinogion, is named after a collection of British prose stories of the same name.
NEXON, Blue Archive's publisher, also has a game called "Mabinogi" which has been operating for twenty years.
