Keiji is a minor character in the manga and anime series Attack on Titan. He was a member of the Survey Corps, being a part of the Fourth Squad and participated in the Survey Corps’ rebellious stance against the Royal Government.
He was voiced by Shuhei Matsuda in Japanese and Orion Pitts in English.
Appearance[]
Keiji was an older man of average height, with a slender yet strong build. He had shaved black hair that started greying on the back of his head. Keiji had tanned skin and his face was long and slim, with many sharp features and lines. His eyes were slanted and had a black color.
Keiji wore the standard Survey Corps uniform and green cloak during expeditions, with a white shirt underneath. In his free time, he wore a long jacket and shirt that resembled a tunic.
Personality[]
Keiji acted as a responsible and dedicated soldier towards his comrades and humanity at large. He was often seen assisting his superior officers and was always portrayed as having a devoted demeanor towards his companions. Keiji also showed to have somewhat of a wrathful and straightforward personality, having no problem with presenting himself as enraged in front of others. Angrily lashing out at Annie Leonhart who had just sealed herself within a protective crystal, causing Keiji to furiously stab it while shouting at her out loud. He also chastised Eren for participating in attacking the Pure Titans within Utgard, instead of staying back like he was ordered too.

- Considering Keiji's name and appearance, it can be a possibility that he is a descendant from an Asian nation. This nation could possibly have been Hizuru, who were known to be allied with the Eldian Empire over a hundred years before the events of the story. He might have descended from the entourage of the Azumabito clan's lost son of the Shogun during the Great Titan War, or another Asian party that ended up within the Walls during the same period.
- If that were the case, then Keiji might be a distant relative to Mikasa, as the family's side of Mikasa's mother, was able to remain "pure" Asian throughout a century, presumably by having the Asian nobles stuck within the Walls marry into each other instead of mixing with the Subjects of Ymir, as Mikasa's mother was still completely Oriental.
