After Robby abandoned him at Cobra Kai under Terry Silver’s leadership, Kenny still refuses to talk to him. Kenny's older brother Shawn has been released from juvie. The brothers then hang out in Golf N' Stuff. When Kenny's playing by himself, Robby tries to talk to him and convince him to join Miyagi-Do but he keeps ignoring him. At the batting cage, Robby attempts to talk to Kenny again but the Payne brothers get into a fight with Miguel and Robby. Kenny tries to use a bat but is stopped by Sam and Tory before the Payne brothers leave. Back at their house, Shawn, who now realizes that Miyagi Do may be good for him, advises Kenny to join and give Robby another chance. When Anthony comes to apologize for his behavior, Kenny refuses his to accept his apology and the two fight until Amanda intervenes. She berates the two for their conflict and explains that if he doesn’t help Miyagi-Do, they will lose. At night, Amanda apologizes to Kenny for yelling at him while praising him for learning karate in a fast pace. Later, Kenny and Anthony make up for their past feud with Anthony going to soil himself with laxatives to be even. Shortly, Kenny gets a call from Devon, who confesses that’s he spiked his water. He tells her that they’ll talk more about when he gets there. After learning the truth, Kenny and Anthony reconcile before they part ways.

When Miyagi-Do fights local dojo Furia de Pantera, they lose due to Hawk and Demetri distrusting Kenny and accusing him of being a mole for Silver. Kenny defends himself that he really wants to help Miyagi-Do and wants nothing to do with his former sensei until Robby breaks up the argument and takes the blame for losing. He is encountered by Silver who attempts to manipulate him into joining Iron Dragons before he leaves him to consider. Kenny successfully helps Miyagi-Do win their match against the Brazilian dojo, Redentores, after Robby tags him which made Hawk and Demetri realize they were wrong about Kenny being a traitor. While cheering their victory, Kenny flicks off Silver to solidify that he’ll never re-join him.
