Kenshi Takahashi is the main protagonist in the 2022 direct-to-DVD animated martial arts film Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, based on the Mortal Kombat video game franchise by Ed Boon and John Tobias and the third installment of Mortal Kombat Legends series. He is blind swordsman who help Sub-Zero and Scorpion to stop Kano and the Black Dragon as well as save the city.
He was voiced by Manny Jacinto.
Biography[]
When Kenshi is unblind such he walking into towns, seeing several civilians is abusing by the Black Dragon members, Kabal, Kobra, and Kira where the fruits are got stolen. Due to his skilled in fighting, he fights off the trio and scat them but everyone are thanks to him for their saving. Upon Kuai Liang abandoned the title of Sub-Zero and living a farmer's life, he arrived in markets to buy vegetables with fruits enough, Kenshi introduced to him and announced himself by his full name "Kenshi Takahashi". His full name was catching Shang Tsung's attentions and Kenshi is battles with the Black Dragon and later Tremor, but he was ended up defeated by him.
Shang Tsung decided to ordered Tremor to spared his enemy which they leaving alongside with Kabal, Kira, and Kobra. Refusing to be execution by the Black Dragon, Kenshi is fell unconsciousness because of he was got injured, much to his despair. He later meet Shang Tsung, under the alias of "Song", told Kenshi that there is a strongest weapon called "Sento" which he could use to deals with the Black Dragon. After lured into a desert to open the Well of Souls by the old man, Kenshi becoming blind for all when Shang Tsung absorbed all the souls to rejuvenated with his younger form, he throwing Kenshi into the pit and hoping of him would dead. Despite this, Kenshi heard that Sento talked to him telepathy, and he taking the weapon and released himself from well.
Kuai Liang find Kenshi wandering in desert and took him in his home, but which under of determination, he would training him by enhanced his other senses. After the training, Kuai Liang eventually revealed to Kenshi that he was once the leader of the Lin Kuei and faced the wave of the revenants. For hopeless it in tried to ended of the battle, he summoned an ice storm, killing everyone around but himself, including his clan members and civilians. Where in, much to be pity, he swear never to using his powers again. However, Kano, the leader of the Black Dragon who attempted to seizing the control of city, Kenshi hassle that they needs to assisted the townspeople as Sub-Zero refused.
Upon their protested, Kuai Liang gained the upper hand and offered Kenshi one final chance to returned to normal life. As refused and leaving to help the city, Kenshi managing to attacked the Black Dragon and he killing them off but unfortunate to be captured by Kano and the survival members of Black Dragon. After burn down his farms in order to summoning Scorpion as well as resume as Sub-Zero, Kuai Liang arriving in the city together with Scorpion, watching Kenshi is blackmailed by Kano. They rescue him to started a battle, Kenshi executed Kira, Scorpion killed Erron Black, No Face, Ferra and Torr. They also behead Kano but he then survived and rushing into chamber containing Kronika's Hourglass.
Where Kano's plans of used to created an alternative timeline in which he unleashed the revenant infestation in order to seizing his incredible powers. During his furious, Sub-Zero kill Kano before he can used the hourglass to erasing Sub-Zero from existence and the heroes destroyed Kronika's crown causing the chamber self-destruct. Kenshi offers Sub-Zero to help the city and people of wasteland while he rejected. Since he promised Scorpion to taking him if he ever used his powers again, Hanzo and Kuai Liang were leave to the Netherrealm, making Kenshi the successor of the Lin Kuei and new protector of the Earthrealm.
