Kiana Kaslana is main protagonist of Houkai Gakuen 2 or Gun Girl Z. A predecessor of Honkai Impact 3rd. Both games, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail are parts of Hoyoverse cosmology which take place on Imaginary Tree. The universe structer compose with infinite world lines.
Unlike her HI3 counterpart, she's not a clone and doesn't share identity with Sirin. Durandal doesn't exist in this game.

Background[]
Kiana is a daughter of Siegfried Kaslana and Cecilia Scariac. Schicksal want her to be born because they want to combine Kaslana anti Honkai genes with Schariac Honkai Adaptability gene. However it's appear that her father gene completely suppress her mother gene. Which make them happy because Kiana won't has to become Valkriye like them. However, her mother gene is just hidden. Kiana mother would later died in Second Eruption.
One day when Kiana and Siegfried go to buy bread for cooking food at home. While walking back at home, they were attack by the Honkai and Siegfried has to fight a mysterious Herrscher. Siegfried tell Kiana to run away and was never been seen since.

One day at the school, The Third Honkai Eruption happened and she was attack by Honkai Zombies. She fighting them and save another student name Raiden Mei. Suddenly, Mei was corrupted by Herrscher persona and become Herrscher of Thunder, Mei gain a control and try to killed herself to stop the Herrscher. However she was stop by Kiana and they manage to suppress Herrscher of Thunder persona for now. They escape the Senba Academy.
Kiana and Mei met a Pale Fox girl, she had taken care by a shrine girl but she died from Honkai Eruption. She absorbed Honkai Energy and gain humanoid body. Unable to accept what happen and try to find the answer why she cried last time before she died. She slowly lose control to Honkai persona. But Kiana and Mei manage to steal her Honkai Energy, turn her back to fox and the fox choose to stay with the shrine girl body.
Later Kiana and Mei found Bronya, a cybrog girl from Anti-Entropy. Bronya was control by program install by Cocolia, but Kiana and Mei was able to breake her free. They bring Bronya to Homuland theme park to make Bronya feel more emotion. It help a little but not much.
After playing at theme park. They encounter Hyperion Ship and it's Captain, Murata Himeko, agent of Schiksal. They start fighting because Himeko believe 3 girls are agent of Anti-Entropy. But was stop by Theresa Apokalypse, she know Siegfried and want three of them to become valkiryes. They board up to Hyperion ship and return to St.Freya.
While on the ship, Cocolia hack and reassert control over Bronya to kill Schiksal, but Mei was able to take back Bronya control in time by talk about school life they will have together and Kiana destroy her control chip, pervent Bronya from being controll again.
When Bronya is unable to be used any longer. Cocolia send Sin Mal to killed the team instead. However Sin Mal was unabled to beat them because of number and Cocolia order her to retreat. Himeko decide that they will Attack Anti-Entropy battle ship Moonlight Throne to take out their leader Cocolia. Theresa and Himeko will stay on Hyperion why three kid infiltrate Moonlight Throne
The team confront Cocolia, she reveal that the more you fight the Honkai, they become stronger to fight you back. Anti-Entropy plan is to release Honkai Energy to kill most of human that left some surivial that can coexist with Honkai and rebuild a new world. What they need is core of second herrscher, Herrscher of The Void. Sin Mal attack Mei again, make Kiana angry and shoot Sin Mal, killing her. Cocolia give her last gentle sleep then used the system make Moonlight Throne failed. Kiana ask Mei and Bronya to leave before Her while she go to Moonlight Throne reactor. Seele, another St.Freya student come to aid them.
Moonlight Throne fell on St.Freya. There's a lot of Honkai Energy release. Theresa reveal to Himeko that Schiksal plan to revive second Herrscher to study for better understanding of Honkai. In the same time, Kiana meet the girl name Sirin, she look for her mom and Kiana has a similar smell to her mom, Kiana decide to bring the girl with her to help find her mom.
The team confront Cocolia for one last time. Bronya detect that Honkai energy is leaking from Kiana and the girl name Sirin she met is actually Sirin the second Herrscher, and her core is now fused with Kiana. Cocolia tell that for her plan to be complete Mei must return her Honkai Energy to rightfull place. Cocolia want to manipulate Sirin to enact her plan by act as her mother. She reveal to Kiana that the mysterious Herrscher that attack her dad when she was a child was in fact Kiana all along. Her body is a perfect vessel for Herrscher. And Siegfried was already death. It was an accident when Schicksal try to capture Kiana and Siegfried. Sigefried died from too much Honkai energy, which mean Kiana is the one that killed her own father. Unable to handle the truth and filled with hatred that Theresa was lied to her, Kiana has emotional collapse and become the Final Herrscher. Cocolia feel wonderful and call by Sirin voice that if she is her mother, Cocolia body dissapear. As the team fight the Final Herrscher to protect Mei, They were all killed one by one. Himeko, Theresa, Seele, Bronya. They are all dead.
To stop Final Herrscher, Mei reawake as Herrscher of Thunder to fight God Kiana. However she was no match for her and was defeat. Her Honkai energy was taken from her and Herrscher was about to choke Mei to dead. However, Mei was is able to make Kiana able to regain her sense of self. Feeling regret and sadness, Kiana wish everything to go back to the way thing was when they are just student at Senba Academy. Her body release Honkai Explosion, killed everyone on earth.
Supercomputer Alaya restart the human civilization once again. This is second time that humanity failed to beat the Honkai.

- There's a lot of pararells and differents of early Honkai Impact 3rd early story and Houkai Gakuen 2 Retrospective Era.
- K-423 clone body created to host Sirin, Herrscher of The Void. HG2 Kiana born to be perfect solider who turn out to be final Herrscher, and Kiana doesn't has core of the void until the final chapter.
- Cecilia died in second eruption in both game. However, there isn't much detail of the story in HG2 version. Sirin didn't even have model art in Retrospective Era.
- When Kiana was a Child. In HI3, Herrscher of The Void awake in clone Kiana body but was stop by Siegfried at the cost of his arm. In HG2, the herrscher that awake is Herrscher of The End and was stop by Siegfried at the cost of his life.
- Escape of Nagazora Manga is retailing of Retrospective Era game storyline. Escape of Nagazora end with Kiana, Bronya, and Mei become St.Freya students. Retrospective Era end in tragedy.
- Honkai Impact 3rd Manga Azure Waters was implied to be partically canon to Honkai Gakuen 2 storyline. Azure Waters trailer on Youtube use a short version of Color of Snowy Night. The full version of the song can be heard in Houkai Gakuen 2.
- Cocolia plan to unleash Honkai Energy around the world that will kill most of humanity but left some survival that can coexist with the Honkai is very similar to Kevin Kaslana early version of Project Stigma.
- Sirin in both game want to reunite with her mother.
- Herrscher of The Void awake in Chapter 8 of Honkai Impact 3rd, she choke Mei but Kiana was able to gain control long enough to sade Mei from sufficate, she later steal Mei core and cause global catastrophe that kill majority of world populations until seal away by Himeko at the cost of her life. Herrscher of The End awake in Final Chapter of Retrospective Era, killed everyone in team who tried to protect Mei, choke Mei in the space then Kiana regain her feeling with regret and sadness. Her body release Honkai Dead Spot that killed everyone on earth.
