Origin[]
Waylon born of Ichthyosis rare genetic condition skin to thicken, crack and flake off in a pattern resembling reptile scales, giving him a more reptilian appearance. Then Later his mother sold him to Haley's Circus since then he was working the sideshow most his life the circus owner. Waylon arrived at Gotham City, opportunity to escaped from the circus which he succeed escape however he could not function in normal society, as the public were frightened by his deformity and viewed him as a monster. he deiced lives in sewers away from the society.
Batman: Earth One Volume 2[]
Batman find where Riddler location which found sewers he started where in maze of sewers find harder where pin point he hear something in here then sruipre attack Croc behind Batman attack him for trespassing. they fought Croc slam Batman though the wall he use his cape warp him his head use it pass out but he his teeth, to escape punch him. Bat try fight back but Croc skin too tough he use stun gun to wreaked him just before he finish Waylon yell at him leave him alone beg him just leave him. Batman thought he try to eat him Walyon don't eat people he believe another Gothamite try shoot him. He ask him why he living in swear he explain to him he was rare Ichthyosis skin and after the left the circus even try get something to eat but got shot and ran into sewers since then he started to like here until Riddler shown up Batman ask him where he that he show him at where Riddlers location and rest up Batman before he leave Batman Wayne Enterprises could medical on skin but he decline he never goes surface again and tell him happy hunting.
Batman chase Riddler slam run him down both vans soon he get to him Riddler get his gun shoot only his cape before he Bomb about blown him and himself until Croc behind him slash his back he shot him multiple's time then use opportunity he throw batrang on Riddler hand and knock him out end of terror. Batman check out Walyon and explain he to him he should stop Riddler before he was sewers and other reason he don't want to back goes there. It show that he survivors from gun shots and now take care for by Wayne.
Batman: Earth One Volume 3[]
One month later he, Bruce, and Alfred are digging a tunnel to find a new base of Batcave. While Croc starts cleaning up, Alfred wonders if Waylon can be trusted. Bruce points out that he misunderstands and he trusts him since he is one of their allies. In the sewers, Croc sees two thugs walking out and sees them kick a dog. They’re about to use the dog as bait until he steps in to scare them away. Croc then takes the dog under his care. Alfred sees the dog and it here Croc brought him in here and names him Bat-Hound. Alfred did not agree and Croc gave him another name like "Alfred". Bruce steps in to see the dog. And agreed that the dog should be named Bat-hound. Croc assists Batman, uses him to threaten the thug and Croc eats him if he does not give him info. They went to Harvey Dent Grave digging if he was really alive until they found that the body was gone. Catwoman wants to meet in the Bat-cave when Croc meets her then following him leads to Batman and after he assists him to stop Harvey Dent ( who really Jessica behind this) She feels Croc got her in time. In the months after Dent's capture, Croc remained in the Outsiders as it recruited more members.

- Croc is one rare who is not villain and become Batman ally plus He is not rendered animalistic due to his condition even not a cannibalistic.
