Behind you.
~ Kim informing Captain Park where Jun-ho is, causing the former's death.

Kim is a supporting character in Netflix's K-drama Squid Game. He is the leader of a mercenary group and works alongside Seong Gi-hun, Hwang Jun-ho and Choi Woo-seok as part of a strike force to find and take down the Squid Game.

He was portrayed by Sung Do-hyun.

Biography[]

Kim is a soldier who fought in many battles overseas and served in the Korean Armed Forces. Choi Woo-seok brings him to meet Seong Gi-hun the day before they plan to visit the club. When they carry out their plan, Kim tries to chase the car that Seong Gi-hun is riding in, but he can't catch up because snipers shoot out his tires from above.

After they sail out to sea, Kim's team finds an island. They use drones to look around the island, then land on it. However, Kim discovers and approaches a bomb trap that kills one of his team members. Captain Park wants everyone to go back, but Kim refuses. He says they won't give up until they find the people running the Squid Game. Captain Park then kills all of Kim's crew members, but Hwang Jun-ho saves Kim after he is shot before Park can kill him too. Jun-ho heals Kim and convinces him to keep helping him locate the island because he must find his brother, Hwang In-ho.

Kim and Jun ho work together to search for the island. They find two guards with guns and shoot them. They also find and rescue Park Gyeong-seok, who tells them where the island is located.
