King is one of the two tritagonists (alongside Fubuki) of the One-Punch Man franchise.
He is the S-Class Rank 7 professional hero for the Hero Association. In public, King is known as the "The Strongest Man on Earth", truth however, he is just a normal average person, who unintentionally gained credit for things he hasn't done. King is also one of the few people aware of the true level of Saitama's power and is part of the Saitama's Group.
He is voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto in Japanese and by Rich Brown in English.
Appearance[]
King is a tall, bulky man with lightly tan skin, blue eyes, and shoulder-length laid-back blonde hair that he keeps combed back down to the nape of his neck. His notorious features are three vertical scars straight over his left eye, with sunken cheeks and a pronounced jawline. He wears a long sleeved black turtleneck sweater. Notably, his heartbeat can occasionally be heard.
Personality[]
King is noted to be a very serious person and also incredible intimidating by people, but he turns out to be very cowardly, but very clever and a cheat. In reality, King is just an ordinary guy who has absolute no determination, courage or skills as a hero, and always runs from a battle (he has never actually fought in his entire life) and is too dependent of Saitama and friends to protect him.
However, he is not a bad person or truly selfish, as he didn't want to take credit for Saitama's heroic deeds, he just couldn't bring himself to tell the truth to people, and as more people and heroes/villains started believing that he truly was a powerful hero, King grew up in fear of being exposed and treated like trash if the truth came at large. Actually, he is a very calm, relaxed and friendly individual, and soon after revealing his secret he and Saitama became friends and started hanging out together, King is one of the few people aware of Saitama's power.
Powers and Abilities[]
Despite being feared as a powerful hero, King's actually a normal and ordinary person with no special skills or powers whatsoever, his reputation being only the result of lack of communication and lies. King has been stated to be the weakest hero (and maybe character) of One Punch Man, however, he is able to intimidate villains with his facial expressions, and usually can keep his cool and pretend to not be scared.
King is, however, really "invincible" in videogames, he is stated to have never lost a fight in videogames and could easily defeat Fubuki's team when the latter challenged Saitama's group to a video game showdown, King also defeats Saitama with absolute no effort in video games, despite the latter's having plenty experience as a gamer.
He is also kind of smart, as he can build some tactics and strategies during video game fights and be some sort of mentor with Saitama by giving him some advice.
He also has a lot of luck.
