I need a monster to clobber that there Kirby!
~ King Dedede's famous quote from the opening theme in the English version
Surely you jestin!'
~ the catchphrase that King Dedede uses when he's surprised

King Dedede is one of the main antagonists (but sometimes an anti-hero) of anime Kirby: Right Back at Ya!

He is voiced in the Japanese version by Kenichi Ogata, known for Hiroshi Agasa in Detective Conan, Myoga in Inuyasha and Genma Saotome in Ranma 1/2. In the English dubbing, he is voiced by Ted Lewis (who was credited as Ed Paul).

Appearance

King Dedede's appearance in the anime, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! is just like his appearance in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (excluding the gloves), with a blue stomach and a tan robe covering it. Strangely, his hat wears a crown instead of the white ball, reminiscent of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Dedede's clothes never deviate from his royal attire, like those he wears in the games. The only other things he sees are from time to time a shower cap that he sometimes wears when taking a bath, green pajamas and a night cap when he sleeps, and a pair of scandalous purple sunglasses in the shape of his sign of peace when he sunbathe.

Personality

King Dedede is immature, egotistical, absent-minded, short-tempered, selfish and greedy but he can also be quite caring sometimes.
