King Regellius (simply known as Regellius) is a supporting character in the 2013 direct-to-DVD animated Barbie film, Barbie: Mariposa & the Fairy Princess. He is the king of Shimmervale and a father of Princess Catania.
He is voiced by Russell Roberts, who also voiced King Frederick in Barbie as Rapunzel, King in Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus, and King Peter in Barbie as The Island Princess.
Biography[]
Before his youth, Regellius and his guards are derided by Gwyllion, the evil witch who has tries to enquire with answers is about Crystallite, the powerful magic crystal to him. After his wife death, he though dislikes on Gwyllion as never gives her crystal because these problems is belonged to forbid, Gwyllion kidnaps his daughter, Catania that threaten on him with voracious for it maybe was. Gwyllion unhappy take Catania away, Regellius must hurried on went to save her daughter that he would attacked Gwyllion's bat sidekick, Boris, caught Gwyllion's feets then the magic wand has really worn-out but repair it. When Regellius saw Catania has falling down by Gwyllion who would out to killed her, Catania yelling of helping his father before downfall and hit by the cliff.
Regellius have been flying on saved his daughter that so very close hold her after he keeps her quiet right now and out of danger, Gwyllion was failed to stop Regellius when trying to escaped with Boris. 8 years later by the passed, Regellius and Catania are later meeting Mariposa and Talayla that its time to welcome them. Gwyllion later comes to Shimmervale, turned on the Crystallite into the stone and Regellius and his people are subsquently to freezed by Gwyllion's black magic as well as Catania and Mariposa were tries to stop Gwyllion that breaking both the evil spell and magic wand. Gwyllion is being stopped by Mariposa and Catania and fall down, Regellius regrets on Mariposa as he make an apology to her for his errors. Gwyllion have a mercy on Regellius, she kept thinking of the many crimes she had committed before now redeemed and is turning into the good old woman.
While Regellius constantly loving his daughter on his swear. But witness if is all of the people are the survivals of Gwyllion's assault, Mariposa decided to agree to her affairs and returned to Flutterfield to meet Carlos, Marabella, Gastrous, and Willa. As the noble leader, Regellius is a caring, wise, and honest king who will fall in love with his daughter. Doubtful to Mariposa, he actually believed inexact by the Butterfly Fairies and Crystal Fairies to many ones. Despite being humble to himself, Regellius also protective to his daughter as well as avoid by damages from Gwyllion. Complicated to do this that he would be misunderstood which disapproving to scolding Mariposa as she stealing on the crystal necklace in giving to her by Catania. However, Regellius could remorseful to Mariposa since he forced her banishing from Shimmervale but now apologized to her.
