He also became close with Sprite, but would leave due to humans noticing that she didn't age, and befriended Karun Patel in the 1970s.
Eternals[]
While performing in Mumbai, Kingo reunited with Sersi, Sprite and Ikaris, who arrived and informed him of being attacked by Deviants and Ajak's death. Kingo decided to join them and brought his assistant Karun as well, reuniting with Thena and Gilgamesh in Australia. Sersi would then learn the truth of their purpose on Earth, and informed the Eternals that they were sent to the planet to start the emergence of Tiamut the Communicator. Planning on opposing the Celestials, the Eternals came up with a plan to put Tiamut in a sleeping state by speaking with Druig in the Amazon Rainforest. At Druig's compound, Kro and the Deviants arrived and started to attack, killing Gilgamesh in the process. After Gilgamesh's funeral, the Eternals traveled to Chicago meet with Phastos, and Druig explained that he wasn't powerful enoguh to affect a Celestial.
Once Phastos agreed to help them build a device to stop the emergence, the Eternals traveled to Iraq to find Makkari and the Domo. It was then revealed that Ikaris knew of the emergence before meeting Sersi and Sprite in London, and that he indirectly caused Ajak's death by tricking her into a trap set by Kro. Kingo was left conflicted on the situation due to his loyalty to Arishem, but refused to fight the others due to having develop a connection with humanity over centuries. After the emergence was prevented, Kingo left the group due to his inner conflict, but was later captured by Arishem alongside Sersi and Phastos.
