	~ Kishibe to Power and Denji.

Kishibe is a supporting character in the Chainsaw Man franchise. He is a Public Safety Devil Hunter and is one of their strongest members yet.

He was formerly part of Tokyo Special Division 1, he later became the captain of the Tokyo Special Division 4 after the assault on the Special Divisions.

He was voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda in Japanese and Jason Douglas in English.

Appearance[]

Kishibe appear as a blond 50 year old man, with a scar across his left cheek. Like every devil hunter, he wears a black suit with a larger and longer coat. As a young adult his hair was black. He had two piercings on both of his ears. He also had two katana on his back.

Personality[]

Kishibe is someone who acts quite carefree and calm, normally he always drinks alcohol because he likes it, and he goes around saying that he is the most powerful devil hunter of all, when he met Denji and Power, he asked them some questions about how they would act in situations where their friends died, and gives them 100 points for responding without any emotion.

Kishibe also proves to be a guy with a touch of rudeness, as he constantly killed Denji and Power to train them, as he also proves to be quite skilled and intelligent, knowing when they attack him. Despite that, he is still someone who has fairly standard tastes, he likes girls, killing devils and drinking alcohol.

History[]

Kishibe is introduced in the series with him overlooking a Devil Hunter's grave with Himeno, who lost her eye due to her deal with the Ghost Devil. Kishibe advises her to recruit an insane Devil Hunter so that the Devils can't use their fear to empower themselves, and when Himeno tells him Aki is selected as her new partner, Kishibe tells her to beat some sense into him.

In the present day, Kishibe is re-introduced with him overlooking Himeno's grave, as Makima arrives at his place with Denji and Power. Makima introduces them and orders Kishibe to train Denji and Power for their upcoming fight against Samurai Sword and his men.

Abilities[]

According to Makima, Kishibe is the strongest devil hunter of Tokyo Special Division, before the Angel Devil. Kishibe even goes far to described himself as being the strongest devil hunter in the organisation.

Enhanced Strength: It's shown that he could easily pick both Power and Denji on his shoulder and break their neck. He could react and dodge Power's spears being thrown at him like it was nothing.

Enhanced Reflexes: Kishibe could easily dodge a spear being thrown at him through the door by Power and as well as evading the incoming spear from the upper floor.

Knifemanship: Kishibe is very skilled at using knifes; after Denji tried to hit him with a hammer, he quickly repeatedly stabbed him at an incredible speed through his torso than his jaw and through his skull. He also has good marksmanship as he threw a knife at Denji's skull at a pretty long distance.
