~ Kitaneidas's catchphrase when he enters into battle. |
Air Pollution Minister Kitaneidas is one of the three Pollution Ministers of the Banki Clan Gaiark and an antagonist in Engine Sentai Go-Onger. He was a friend and servant of Yogostein, the Land Pollution Minister and served him along with Kegalesia, the Water Pollution Minister. He led the Gaiark's sky-based Barbaric Machine Beasts. He wields the Kitaneibar in battle and ends his sentences with "Zoyo". He is the best card player among the Pollution Ministers and experiments with Bikkurium's potent abilities prior to using it on Barbaric Machine Beasts. He was one of Yogostein's minions, along with Kegalesia and helped him develop the plans of defeating the Go-Ongers and conquering the Human World. He was, along with the other members of the Gaiark, one of the Go-Ongers' archenemies and plotted many schemes of defeating the heroes and taking over the Human World. After Yogostein was killed, Kitaneidas became the leader of the Gaiark and led the clan himself, continuing trying to defeat the Go-Ongers and take over the Human World. However, in the finale of the season, after Yogoshimacritein took over the Gaiark and abused and treated violently Kitaneidas and Kegalesia, they turned against him and eventually joined the Go-Ongers and helped them defeat Yogoshimacritein and saved the world from him.
He was portrayed by Hideaki Kusaka and voiced by Mitsuaki Madono.
History[]
Early life[]
Kitaneidas was the Air Pollution Minister and was good friends with Yogostein and Kegalesia. He, along with Gaiark, conquered and polluted many Braneworlds and caused the extinction of the Engines race. The Engines, escaped and vowed to get revenge on Gaiark for their worlds. The Engines then raced with Gaiark to the Human World. The Engines won and arrived to the Human World and met the main protagonists. The main heroes became the Go-Ongers and Engines became their partners, helping them protect the world from Gaiark.
Engine Sentai Go-Onger[]
Kitaneidas arrived in the Human World along with Yogostein and Kegalesia, establishing Hellgailles Palace as their base on Earth. Together, they created the plans of conquering the Human World and turn into the wasteland under Gaiark's control. They fought the Go-Ongers multiple times and tried to take over the Earth. However, the heroes always defeated them and saved the world from Gaiark. Kitaneidas enjoyed spending times with his fellow pollution ministers, Yogostein and Kegalesia and enjoyed playing cards with them. He created many Air Pollution themed Banki monsters and tried many schemes of defeating the Go-Ongers and conquering the Human World. But the Go-Ongers always foiled the villains' schemes.
When Hiramechimedes the Land Pollution Vice Minister and Yogostein's second-in-command returned, they together fought the Go-Ongers and created the plans of defeating them. But Hiramechimedes loosed to the Go-Ongers many times and Yogostein gave him the last chance of regaining his title and glory and together they staged his banishment from the Gaiark and lured the Go-Ongers to the isolated island. Yogostein sent the Spinning Banki to pursue and kill Hiramechimedes and the Go-Ongers followed them. When Hiramechimedes was wounded by the Spinning Banki and thrown from the cliff, the heroes found him and tried to help him. Kitaneidas and Kegalesia were unaware of the Hiramechimedes' plan and believed Yogostein indeed banished him. Hiramechimedes was seemingly mortally wounded and he asked the Go-Ongers to help him. Go-Ongers thought Hiramechimedes betrayed the Gaiark and believed him when he asked them for one last wish to have a race with Hiroto to the Hellgaille's Palace on the isolated island on their machines. The Go-Ongers believed Hiramechimedes and he gave them the map to the island, saying that he would betray his former Gaiark allies and help the Go-Ongers defeat them. However, it was actually Hiramechimedes' trap, he lured Hiroto the island and when Hiroto arrived to the island, Hiramechimedes and the Spinning Banki attacked him. Kitaneidas and Kegalesia watched this from the Hellgaille's Palace and understood the plan of Yogostein and Hiramechimedes. However, the Go-On Wings knew it was Hiramechimedes' trap and prepared for it. Miu and the other Engines arrived to the island and fought Hiramechimedes and the Banki. However, Hiramechimedes used the environment of the island to capture them and Spinning Banki prepared to deliver the final blow. However then Go-Ongers arrived with Engine-Oh and GunBir-Oh and freed Go-On Wings. Go-Ongers were unaware of the Hiramechimedes' betrayal and thought that Go-On Wings formed the Seiku-Oh to save Hiramechimedes from the Spinning Banki. Hiroto and Miu explained the Go-Ongers that it was Hiramechimedes' trap and after realizing they were tricked, the Go-Ongers attacked Hiramechimedes and the Spinning Banki. Then Go-Ongers and Go-On Wings formed the Engine-Oh G9 and destroyed the Spinning Banki and nearly killed Hiramechimedes. However, Hiramechimedes escaped and swore revenge.
When Hiramechimedes created his final plan to destroy the Go-Ongers, he sneaked into the Hellgaille's palace and injected himself with the hundred times amount of Bikkurium, even despite Yogostein's pleads not to do it. Hiramechimedes mutated into the Detaramedes and fought the Go-Ongers. After Hiramechimedes was killed in the battle, Kitaneidas along with Yogostein and other Gaiark members mourned him.
Later, Kitaneidas and his Gaiark comrades tried many efforts to destroy the Go-Ongers, but again failed. Yogostein then left the Gaiark to find himself. When he returned, Yogostein was more rage-filled and decided to rely on his own power, and created Hammer Banki to destroy the world rather than remake it into an ideal environment for the Gaiark. After his creation was destroyed, Yogostein saw the error of his ways and Kitaneidas and Kegalesia forgave him for his reckless actions. Kitaneidas and other Gaiark again tried many plans to defeat the Go-Ongers, but again failed.
After numerous failures to defeat the Go-Ongers, Yogostein tried his last effort and his ultimate plan. He summoned the giant legendary Banki Horonderthal and sent it to attack the city and destroy the Go-Ongers. While the other Go-Ongers fought the Banki, Sosuke fought Yogostein. During the battle Yogostein secretly implanted the special device into the Red Go-Onger's body. Even when the Go-Ongers defeated the Horonderthal, the device of Yogostein seemingly killed Sosuke and Kitaneidas along with other ministers gloated of their victory and thought the world will soon be their. When Yogostein attacked the city and tried to destroy it with rust, Kitaneidas and Kegalesia watched him. Yogostein easily defeated the Go-Ongers and stole their Change Souls, returning them to their civilian forms. The victory of the Gaiark seemed clear, but the Go-Ongers later fought Yogostein and managed to defeat him by wounding him with his own Yogospear, making a hole in his body. Then Yogostein enlarged himself, and the heroes pilted their engines without their suits in their civilian forms. Then they entered Yogostein's body and returned their Change Souls, and then formed the new Engine-Oh G12, which easily defeated Yogostein. The rust which Yogostein created in the city was undone and Sosuke returned to normal. Yogostein was wounded, but still had a damaged Horonderthal key, which he wanted to use again and tried to flee. Then Go-Ongers found the Yogostein and Sosuke engaged Yogostein in the final duel. Yogostein was killed in the duel and Kitaneidas and Kegalesia mourned him for a long time. Kitaneidas then became the leader of the Gaiark and again tried many efforts to defeat the Go-Ongers and take over the world, but again failed.
Later the Cleaning Minister Kireizky, the Cleaning Minister of the Gaiark showed up and took the command over the Gaiark. He forcibly recruited the Kitaneidas and Kegalesia to assist him in his plan to "clean" the Human World by using bombs to exterminate all life on the planet. Kireizky fought the Go-Ongers and tried to destroy them, but the Rangers managed to defeat Kireizky and foil his plan of eliminating the life at Earth.
Later on, the father of Yogostein, and Kireizky's boss Crime Minister Yogoshimacritein showed up and took command of the Gaiark in the Human World. He arrived with his right-hand Chirakasonne. Yogoshimacritein frequently abused Kitaneidas and Kegalesia and treated them as pawns. He forced them to regain their loyalty to him. Together, they attacked the city and fought the heroes. Then Yogoshimacritein left and Chirakasonne fought the Rangers. After Chirakasonne was defeated, Yogoshimacritein arrived and vaporized Gunpei and Hant, along with their partners with Justice Dissolution, horrifying the Go-Ongers.
Yogoshimacritein gave Kitaneidas and Kegalesia the last chance of regaining their loyalty to him and they created their final and most powerful Kettei Banki and sent it to attack the city and take down the Go-Ongers. However, the Banki failed and Yogoshimacritein again returned and vaporized Hiroto and Miu with their engines. This horrified the heroes again, but Bomper managed to scan the Justice Dissolution and sought the ways to return their friends.
When Yogoshimacritein started conquering the world with Barbaric-Dohma drones, the Go-Ongers stopped them and the three ministers arrived and attacked them. Even without their friends, the three core Go-Ongers defeated the Ministers, and tried to attack Yogoshimacritein. However, Yogoshimacritein used Kitaneidas and Kegalesia as a shield to protect him from the Go-ongers attacks, resulting in the two being wounded. Then they left and returned to the Hellgaille's Palace. When the Go-Ongers came to the Hellgaille's palace by following the Barbaric Dohma's source, the Ministers encountered them. They fought and Yogoshimacritein again used the two ministers as a shield, resulting them finally betray and turn against him. When Yogoshimacritein tried to use Justice Dissolution against the three Go-Ongers, Kitaneidas and Kegalesia turned against him and said that they didn't want such a violent leader as him, who treated them cruelly. They finally understood that Yogoshimacritein used them as a tools and betrayed him, and helped the Go-Ongers. In a last act of defiance Kitaneidas and Kegalesia destroyed the Infinite Wastebin, only for Yogoshimacritein to fatally wound both of them as punishment. Dying Kitaneidas and Kegalesia revealed to the heroes that they had to find the Deus Haguru Magear in their chamber of command, which is keeping the other Go-Ongers trapped in wave form. Right before shutting down, Kitaneidas and Kegalesia tried to hold hands one last time.
Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger[]
Kitaneidas was later revived along with Yogostein and Kegalesia. Pollution President Batcheed attempted to recruit the three back into the Banki Clan Gaiark as they were eating sushi from Genta's cart, but the three did not want to fight anymore and instead wanted to retire at the bottom of the Sanzu River and get drunk.
Gokaiger vs. Gavan[]
Kitaneidas was among villains imprisoned within the Space Prison in Makuu Space by Makuu Prison Warden Ashurada. Kitaneidas and the other villains were later released by the Gokaigers when they caused a big ruckus within the prison.
Engine Sentai Go-Onger: 10 Years Grand Prix[]
Kitaneidas was eventually rebuilt along with Kegalesia and Yogostein by the Ugatz, the ministers deciding to settle down in Junk World and live in peace. However, they accidentally created Noizoon of Eleki Clan Zontark, who creates Grayzky as they force the Ugatz into mass producing their N-chips. The ministers, after Grayzky got taken out by their landmine, help the Go-ongers defeat the Zontark and get back to their world.
Personality[]
Kitaneidas and Kegalesia are very comical and are the most comical Pollution Ministers, having many funny moment, in contrast to Yogostein's more serious attitude. Kitaneidas is a good friends with the other Pollution Ministers and, just like Yogostein, he is kind and benevolent to his creations. He is very caring and towards his fellow Pollution Ministers and treats kindly his Banki Beasts. He enjoys spending time with them and playing cards with Yogostein and Kegalesia. He is also highly intelligent and is a skilled strategist and manipulator.
Kitaneidas isn't completely evil, he genuinely cares about his race and is deeply sad, when his comrades perish. He and Gaiark wanted to ensure the survival of his kind and wanted to create the paradise on Earth for their machine race. They also considered Gaiark superior to humans and that was the reason why they wanted to conquer the Earth. He was deeply upset when Yogostein perished, and mourned him, however he thought the best way to mourn Yogostein was to continue his work of conquering the Human World and avenge his death.
While he was hostile towards the Go-Ongers, being the enemies for most of the season, he was willing to unite with them, sometimes when his race was in danger. While he wasn't redeemed for the most of the season, he did it in the finale. In the finale of the season, when Yogoshimacritein arrived and treated cruelly Kitaneidas and Kegalesia, they put their loyalty to him under the doubt and eventually turned against him, and realized that he was a horrible leader and violent tyrant, unlike Yogostein who treated them kindly. Eventually, Kitaneidas and Kegalesia betrayed Yogoshimacritein and helped the Go-Ongers defeat him, by sacrificing themselves.
While he redeemed himself in life only in the finale, he did it again as a spirit deciding to leave the Human World alone rather than work for Batcheed. Even so, he genuinely wants a pollution paradise to ensure the survival of his kind, which he and his cohorts get when in the Sanzu River. Later, he did it again, and helped the Go-Ongers save the world many times, fully redeeming himself.
