Koichi Adachi is one of the main characters of SEGA's Like a Dragon (Ryū ga Gotoku, formerly known as Yakuza in the west) franchise.
He is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Yu Nanba) of the Like a Dragon Saga, being one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Yu Nanba) of the 2019 action-adventure RPG video game Yakuza: Like a Dragon and one of the four deuteragonists of its 2024 sequel Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
He is a former police officer and driving instructor within the Kanagawa Prefectural Police, who later become the founder and CEO of the Adachi Investigative Services, after a falling out with a corrupt official. He later on becomes one of Ichiban Kasuga's closest friends.
In Japanese, he is voiced by Akio Ōtsuka, who also voiced his historical counterpart in Like a Dragon: Ishin!, Kondo Isami, Solid Snake from the Metal Gear franchise, Morrison from the Devil May Cry series, Jeralt from the Fire Emblem franchise, Shunsui Kyoraku from the Bleach franchise, and the Skull Knight from the Berserk franchise.
In English, he is voiced by Andrew Morgado, who also voiced Reptile from Mortal Kombat 1, Venom in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, and Cliffjumper in Bumblebee.
