History[]
Kojūrō has been with Masamune for a long time, as long as they remember. He was said to be a loyal to his lord who is often seen as a brilliant retainer of Date clan. When his young lord lost his right eye and was to be a famous Date retainer, he preferred the health of Masamune. Kojūrō first accompanied his lord to participate in the Uesugi civil war, he really wants to keep his armies safe.
After Masamune experienced the loss of his father's wounds, Kojūrō provided complementary leadership and advice throughout the Tohoku chapter. Because Masamune's irrational emotional state includes his judgment as leader, Kojūrō voluntarily caught the attention of the enemy for himself in Hitotoribashi and issued an army command to protect Masamune's allegations in Koriyama.
Due to Kojūrō's earlier inquiry, Date is being able to surrender to Hideyoshi before the Odawara conflict. Kojūrō was surprised and grateful when Hideyoshi forgave their resistance and allowed Date to remained independent. After Uesugi fled from the previous battle, Koizumi is only one who can make a confession about Hideyoshi’s proposal for his slavery and felt it was hidden from Masamune. He was very happy when his lord quickly resolved the problem.
