Konomi Okonogi is a supporting character in the science-fiction action manga and anime series Kaiju No. 8. She is the Defense Force's lead operator.
She is voiced by Sayaka Senbongi in Japanese and by Celeste Perez in English.
Appearance[]
Konomi is a short woman with dark long hair typically tied in a ponytail and leaves two bangs at the front beside her face and a pair of round silver glasses. She has navy-colored eyes. As an operator of the Defence Force, she frequently wears her laboratory robe with the standard black Defence Force uniform underneath.
Personality[]
Konomi is a hard-working, serious, and caring individual with a deep sense of duty as the lead operator of the team. She is most notably annoyed and disapproves Soshiro Hoshina, a comrade of the team's frequent mocking and humorous behaviour, who burst out of laugh and make jokes, even during serious operations. She cares for the safety of anyone around, ensuring the avoidance of any casulaties. She is typically seen silent when observing the Defence Force soldiers, maintaing her calm and observant attitude while aiding the team. She can be impressed from to time to times by others' unexpecting achievements and outsanding skills. Naturally, as the one in charge of such position within the organization, she is a refined and woman with a cerebral mind.
