Koopa Troopas are turtle-like creatures who work for Bowser and are recurring foes for Mario and Luigi though some have been allies to Mario in his quest to stop greater villains.
Appearance[]
Koopa Troopas are large, humanoid turtles. They usually have yellow skin, blue eyes, a shell, and shoes. The colors of the shell often vary among the species, but the two most common are red and green.
Personality[]
Although they work for Bowser, they are not very malicus as they are mainly trying to do their job. While foes with Mario they are willing to put aside their grudge to have fun with the Plumber and his friends. They have even directly opposed Bowser in games like Mario party and mario Baseball.
Heroic acts[]
- In Mario Party 9, a Koopa Troopa, who is called simply Koopa in-game, joins Mario and his friends to stop Bowser and Bowser Jr. from stealing the Mini Stars. Unlike Kamek and Shy Guy, he never plays for Bowser.
- A friendly Koopa called Koopa the Quick raises Mario, Luigi, Wario and Yoshi to test their running skills and gives them a star to help stop Bowser.
- In Mario Superstar Baseball, he is part of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's team, the DK Wilds, and helps them defeat Bowser in his castle.
- In the Mario Power Tennis opening, he saves Peach and Toadsworth by using his tennis racket to deflect Bob-ombs thrown by Wario, Waluigi and Bowser as the Peach Dome is under siege.
- In Mario Party 2, he warns the characters about Bowser's attack and thanks the player for saving him.
- In Mario Party DS, he cares for his grandfather Koopa Krag and asks Mario and his friends to save him. After Kamek is beaten, he rewards the hero's with the fourth Sky Crystal.
- In Mario Party 4, he, along with Toad, Goomba, Shy Guy and Boo, host the Party Mode, where they make sure the heroes have a fun time at the party. He is the host of his board, known as Koopa's Seaside Soiree.
- In Mario Super Sluggers, he is on Wario's team, the Wario Muscles, and offers to join Mario and the heroes to stop Bowser's takeover of Baseball Kingdom. After Bowser is defeated, the Koopa runs up to Mario and congratulates him. In the ending, he is seen attending the party allowing Bowser to come despite his earlier crimes.
- In Super Paper Mario, Two Koopas attempt to save Paper Princess Peach from Count Bleck and never once betray her.
- In Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Koopas can be freed by Bowser, causing him to use them in battle against Fawful's forces.
- In Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Koopa Troopas teach the Mario Bros how to battle. these moves help the bros greatly on their quest.
- In Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, he is shown playing with Yoshi and then helps runs away when Bowser attacks the Wario Bros.
