~ Kore to Wesley Crusher. |
Kore Soong was a cloned human female who was born in either the late 20th or early 21st century introduced in Star Trek: Picard. She was played by Isa Briones, who had earlier appeared on Picard as the androids Soji Asha, Dajh Asha, and Sutra.
Soong was cloned by the human scientist Adam Soong as the last in a series of clones. Soong was the only clone to live more than a few years as her previous clone "sisters" had all died shortly after being created. Soong was led to believe she was the daughter of Adam Soong and a mother who had left after her birth. The cloning process was not perfect, and exposure to sunlight or unfiltered air would result in her dying within moments.
Soong learned the truth about her "father" and her clone sisters, and was provided a permanent cure to her condition by Q. Turning against her father, she hacked into his computer systems and deleted almost all of his data, leaving him with only a hard copy of a funding report for a Project Khan.
After deleting the data she responded to someone wanting a meeting in a Los Angeles park. Arriving at the park, she was met by Wesley Crusher who said he foresaw two possibilities for her. The first was for a "normal" life and the second was "everything else" - meaning working as a supervisor for the Aegis. He explained that the supervisors monitored and ensured history turned out as it should, including on Earth. Wesley warned Soong if she took the second option he could not guarantee her safety, but Soong responded that she had never been safe her entire life, and accepted Wesley's offer. Taking her hand, Wesley beamed himself and Soong to an unknown destination.
