Kou is a recurring supporting character in the popular historical seinen manga and anime series, Kingdom. He is a childhood friend of Bi Hei and his late brother Bi Tou, Kei, Ri Shin, and Ri Hyou and is one of the oldest veterans within the Hi Shin Army being one of the original members since their days as a 100-men unit during the Warring States era of ancient B.C. China.

Kou is a caring young man as he shows a deep love for his family and appreciating in his friends and comrades as he wanted to provided a better life for his mother who raised him by herself and unflinching risks his life shows his respect towards his childhood friends like the Bi Brother, Kei, and Ri Shin. He also capable of showing an impressive amount of determination as one the oldest members of the Hi Shin Unit which he demonstrated when they had to hide underneath corpses in order to ambush enemy soldiers and even when he was stabbed as he bit his own finger to prevent himself from crying out in pain. And despite his youth, he also somewhat of a realist and a bit of cynic.

Biography

Born in Jouto, a small village in the countryside of Qin, Kou was raised by his mother.
