Krypto is the main protagonist of the cartoon series Krypto the Superdog. He is Superman's pet dog.

He is voiced by Samuel Vincent, who also voiced Edd in Ed, Edd n Eddy, Lloyd Garmadon in LEGO Ninjago, and provided the singing voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Underground.

Appearance[]

He is sometimes depicted as resembling a Labrador Retriever/Pitbull, but his specific breed is seldom specified.

Personality[]

Krypto is a noble, intelligent, strong, fun-loving and friendly dog, and he never, ever gives up. He is best friends with Kevin Whitney as well as Streaky the Supercat.

Origin[]

Krypto's beginning storyline seems to follow the same storyline of Superman. Krypto was a dog from the planet Krypton. Before his home planet, Krypton, explodes, he is put in a space pod, and sent to Earth. There, he meets a human boy named Kevin and becomes his dog, and best friend. He fights crime in the boy's home town of Metropolis. Krypto also has a crush on Brainy Barker.

Krypto is aided at times by his cat friend Streaky (who developed superpowers after being zapped by a laser) and Ace the Bathound, (the pet dog of Batman).

Krypto's enemies include Mechanikat, Snooky Wookums, Ignatius (Lex Luthor's pet iguana), Bud and Lou (the pet hyenas of the Joker) and Isis (the pet cat of Catwoman).

Powers and Abilities[]

Krypto possesses super-strength, flight, and heat-vision.
