Kujou Sara is a supporting character of 2020 video game Genshin Impact serving as the secondary antagonist of the Inazuma Archon Quests.
She is a loyal Tengu warrior adopted into the Kujou Clan by the clan head at the time, Takayuki, who was raised to be very loyal to the Raiden Shogun. Although formerly introduced as an antagonist at the Chapter II of Archon Quest, she later served as an anti-hero after realizing the treachery of her own family.
She was voiced by Yang Menglu in Chinese, Jeannie Tirado in English, Mun Ji-yeong in Korean, and Asami Seto in Japanese. Tirado also voiced Rose Winters in Resident Evil Village, Kaga in KanColle: Kantai Collection, Female Byleth in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Yolei Inoue in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. Asami also voiced Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Doesn’t Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Wilbell voll Erslied in Atelier Shallie: The Alchemist of Dusk, Kasane Randall in Scarlet Nexus, Akira Mado in Tokyo Ghoul, and Pan in Dragon Ball Super.
Appearance[]
Kujou Sara has short indigo hair, golden eyes, and pale skin. She wears a red Tengu mask, a kariginu, yamabushi, and tengu geta. She has a wing behind her back.
Personality[]
Despite being an adopted member of the Kujou Clan, she is immensely loyal to Beelzebul and tirelessly works to create the eternity for her. She is ruthless, stern yet efficient, fitting for her position in the Tenryou Commission. Her devotion to the Shogun's cause and her honorable conduct has gained her the respect of those under her command. She prefers doing everything herself when possible; compared to other Tenryou generals, she participates in battle alongside her infantry rather than remaining at the back, despising dishonorable conduct and betrayers of the Shogun's will.
She enjoys quick and easy-filling foods, but dislikes sweets because they put her at ease, something which she finds unfitting for her duties.
History[]
She was born as a nameless Tengu living in mountain without parents. One day her wing is injure but she didn't give up. Seeing her determination, Celestia gave her an Electro vision. Believing that Raiden Shogun/Baal is the one that gave her vision, she has idolized Raiden Shogun since then. However in truth, Ei/Beelzebul revealed through voice lines to traveler that she is not the one who distributes Vision to her people.
She was later adopted by Kujou Takayuki because he saw her usefulness to his clan. She later became the commander of Tenryou Commission, while she felt grateful for Kujou family that adopted and raised her, her loyalty to Raiden Shogun is still more important.
When Raiden Shogun started Vision Hunt Decree, she is commander of the operation. However she always tries to have patience and sincerity, explaining to the citizens the necessary of the operation and wanting them to understand her master idea. She also ordered the soldiers not to do harm or exploit civilians during the operation. However, most of the people still feel resentful and some of them even join the Watatsumi Island Army to resist the Shogunate. She felt genuinely sadness every time she had to fight the resistance army.
At some point she fight Itto in condition that if she win, he must give her vision, and so she did. Itto always want a rematch with her even after the abolish of Vision Hunt Decree and everyone get their vision back.
After Yae Miko saved Traveler from Scaramouche. Sara came to the shrine to arrest Traveler. Yae make a deal that in 3 days they will prove that Fatui is the one that orchestrate the Vision Hunt Decree and the Shogun herself has been deceived. After they found the evident, Sara and Traveler go to Kujou clan to confront Kujou Takayuki, Sara adoptive father. Takayuki shamelessly proclaim that what he done is for the greater good of Inazuma and his clan. Unable to convince him, Sara and Traveler go to meet Raiden Shogun to convince her to stop the Vision Hunt Decree, but she was knock out by Signora during their diplomatic meeting before she can present any evidences.
To avoid be capture and/or execute by the Shogun, Traveler challenge Signora on Duel before the throne. Result in Signora get killed by Raiden Shogun who reduce her to ash. Instead of granting Traveler wish, The Shogun force Traveler to go out of the castle and radiated her power while traveler walk out. When Traveler and Paimon step out of the castle and meet with the resistance army. The Shogun teleport their and try to killed all of them. Only stop by Kazuha who resonate with his dead friend Vision temporary.
To distract the Shogun from killing all of them, Traveler attack the Shogun force Ei to bring them to her Plane of Euthymia for a rematch. This time succeed of defeating Ei with the help of Yae Miko and power from Visions of Inazuma people. They were able to convince Ei to abolish Vision Hunt Decree.
