Kumatora, also known as her waitress name Violet, is a major character in Mother 3. She is a princess and a member of Lucas' team, being the only female member. Unlike Ana and Paula Jones from the previous Mother/EarthBound games, Kumatora is a tomboy.

Appearance

Kumatora is a young teenage woman with pink hair and olive eyes. She wears a cyan-blue dress similar to a large hoodie and red boots.

History

Mother 3

Kumatora was first introduced during Chapter 2 inside Osohe Castle, where Duster briefly catches a glimpse of her running ahead of him and accidentally drops a pendant. Kumatora is later found by both Duster and Wess after getting her leg caught in a bear trap and joins them in search for the Egg of Light once they safely free her. Upon finding the egg, Kumatora unintentionally triggers a trap which washes them out of the castle, causing her and Wess to loose sight of the egg and Duster.

In Chapter 3, Kumatora and Wess help the monkey Salsa escape captivity, but they were soon pursued by the Pigmask Army. They flee into Sunshine Forest and are forced to destroy a tank before they are surrounded. Luckily, Lucas was bravely able to save them with the help from some Dragos.

In Chapter 4, set three years after the third chapter, Kumatora was now a waitress at Club Titiboo, working under the name "Violet". She discovers that an amnesiac Duster had become a band member of the DCMC. She helps Lucas and Boney get inside Club Titiboo and has them sneak into Duster's room while she explains the situation with the bands other members. Upon convincing Duster to help them find the Egg of Light again, Kumatora quickly gets changed out of her waitress uniform and joins up with Lucas' party.

In Chapter 5, she accompanies the party in retrieving the Egg of Light while disguised as Pigmasks before they are forced to climb Thunder Tower while pursued by the villain Fassad. The heroes managed to escape the tower by grabbing onto the Pigmask's mothership, but Kumatora ends up getting separated from her team when the mysterious Masked Man causes them to lose their grip while soaring through the sky.

In Chapter 7, Kumatora was saved by Doria after she fell from the ship and remained at the Magypsy's house until Lucas and Boney arrived in search for one of the island's ancient needles. She rejoins Lucas' party once the needle is pulled, swearing to stick by him until the very end, and after many hardships from locating the other needles she is taught PK Starstorm by Ionia.

In the final chapter, Kumatora and the others discovered that the old Tazmily bell ringer Leder had been imprisoned in New Pork City and they venture through the city sewers in order to find him. Upon doing so, she learned from Leder about a world that once existed beyond the Nowhere Islands and the hidden truth about her own past. Kumatora then joined her friends in confronting Porky Minch on the Empire Porky Building's 100th floor, where it's revealed that the final needle is located deep below ground. Kumatora helped the party push through their final obstacles before the Masked Man knocked her unconscious alongside Duster and Boney (although Lucas was protected from the attack). Luckily, they all soon recovered and witnessed Lucas pull the final needle.

After the game ends, Kumatora notably starts to cry in the secret ending, as said by one of the characters.
