Kuputeri is a major protagonist of the BoBoiBoy franchise. She was the former emperess of Planet Windara, who went into hibernation for 100 years to recover from her injuries sustained while fighting Retak'ka, who stole her wind Element.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Kuputeri was originally the Emperess of Planet Windara, being born to their royal family. She obtained the wind Element from a Power Sphere. At one point, Retak'ka successfully drained the Elemental Powers of five different Power Sphere users, with Kuputeri among one of them. However, Kuputeri survived the attack, encasing herself with a cocoon and went into hibernation for 100 more years to come. During that time, her position was overthrown by the tyrannical Emperor Reramos (who was her royal advisor in the animated adaptation), who ruled the planet with an iron fist.
BoBoiBoy Galaxy[]
Kuputeri first appears when Mariposa and BoBoiBoy clash over the latter's Wind Element. She scolds Maripos, while Kasa explained that the situation before his eyes was not as expected. Hang Kasa introduced Kuputeri as one of his old acquaintances, the original owner of the elemental power of Wind who was presumed dead after being defeated by Retak'ka; and Maripos, who was Kuputeri's servant sent to judge BoBoiBoy's elemental abilities. Tok Kasa asks Kuputeri to tell BoBoiBoy her true reason to visit Earth, and her answer was the same as Maripos' demand - to claim the power of Wind from BoBoiBoy.
The group head to Planet Windara on Kuputeri's ship, while she explains how after being defeated by Retak'ka, she encased herself within a cocoon for 100 years to recover from her injuries. After she emerged from the cocoon, the planet's rule was usurped by Reramos who ruled it in terror. Kuputeri reveals that she went to Earth to meet BoBoiBoy after she heard that he had defeated Retak'ka. She told BoBoiBoy that she wants to reclaim the wind Element to save her planet. BoBoiBoy hesitates because he needs the elements to protect the galaxy from enemy threats, but Maripos said they only needed one of seven of BoBoiBoy's elements, but Kuputeri advised him to be patient. Traversing the stormy planet, Maripos said it was the safest route from patrol craft and it wasn't dare to be traversed by the enemy. Later, Maripos told everyone to be prepared because the trip would be uncomfortable, but assured that they would be safe. Two patrol crafts ambushed the royal spaceship from behind. Kuputeri's ship was completely unarmed, so it couldn't retaliate. They receive a transmission from General Muskida that the spies are always watching their movements, and have even become aware of their special guests.
Muskida introduces himself as an advisor to Emperor Reramos and the "Bearer of the Mace of Light and Conqueror of the Great Windara". Kuputeri replied that they were all ready to free Windara, but Muskida ordered that she should tell it to Reramos erself At the same time, the Kuputeri spacecraft was hooked from behind by Reramos' army. Muskida told Kuputeri to surrender and come along peacefully, but Kuputeri refused, so Muskida instructed that he had to treat Kuputeri rudely and end the transmission. Shortly afterwards, the spacecraft was pulled back and swarmed by the Kelkatoan Army, a race of insects hostile towards the nation of Windara.
BoBoiBoy invites Yaya and Gopal to follow him to destroy the tow hooks. After boarding the top of the ship, BoBoiBoy tells Gopal to transmute the hooks into biscuits. Gopal asks for chocolate biscuits or Yaya biscuits, and BoBoiBoy grumbles that Yaya's biscuits are too hard; the conversation caught Yaya's attention and was silenced. Before Gopal could transform, the three of them were attacked by the Kelkatoan. BoBoiBoy turns into BoBoiBoy Blaze and tells Yaya to protect Gopal while he delays the enemy's attacks. Blaze attacked the Kelkatoan Army, aided by Yaya and Ying. Gopal urged to quickly change the hooks to food, but didn't find way. Muskida appeared at the door of his spaceship with his four other lackeys to once again invite the princess to board his spaceship. BoBoiBoy plans to fight them but is stopped by Kuputeri because they are the Five Generals, the leaders of the Kelkatoan Army, and this is not the time to confront them. Muskida orders Cikala and Sibella to capture Kuputeri, but BoBoiBoy is ready to defend her. Yaya charged but was knocked down by Sibella. Fang in turn helps by fusing into Shadow Tiger while BoBoiBoy turns into Quake. General Cikala returned the attacks and uses his powers to fight them.
Kuputeri tells Maripos to help BoBoiBoy and his friends while she escapes in an escape pod with Gopal. General Berlima also realizes Kuputeri is trying to escape and fight, but is stopped by Yaya, Fang and Maripos. Maripos tells Ying and Yaya to go to the escape pod while dealing with Sibella and Cikala with the help of BoBoiBoy Quake who is trying to put Kuputeri's safety first. Maripos performs Double Illusion to split into a swarm of butterflies to escape, while Quake summons various attacks to hold them off. With everyone at the escape pod room. Ying, Yaya, and Gopal ride a pod with Maripos. Suddenly, the pod was attacked. Kuputeri hurriedly stuffed BoBoiBoy and Fang into the remaining pods and sent them away without her, as BoBoiBoy watched Kuputeri from afar.
Reramos brings the chained Kuputeri to the throne of Kupuri Palace, who was attended by Muskida. Kuputeri threatened that Reramos would be defeated today and tried to fight the elite guard who restrained her, but was eventually subdued by the Kelkatoan Army who held her with chains. BoBoiBoy and the gang, now with the key to the throne room which was given by Papiliam from Muskida, board a hijacked Kelkatoan Army spaceship through the Cyclone Cloud that protects the palace grounds. They reported the status to Maripos through a communication device and Maripos instructed that Kelkatoan ships were needed to get past the Cyclone Cloud as they were the only ships that were allowed to enter Kupuri Palace; otherwise the ship will be destroyed in the Cyclone Cloud. Maripos replied that they were required to climb to the top of Kupuri Palace to activate the Signal Crystal for the opposition group. He added that he will be waiting at the edge of the Cyclone and together they will go through a secret route. Gopal was terrified that he might have to face the Generals other than Muskida, but the others persuaded him to persevere, as the ship entered the palace airspace. Kuputeri was shocked and asked how Emperor Reramos was able to control the Kelkatoan, and he replied that he used the Mace of Light in his grip to control them and make them obey his orders. Reramos also demanded Kuputeri’s help to unlock master control on the Signal Crystal with the aim of doubling the power of the Mace of Light so that all he could brainwash people into submitting to him. Kuputeri objected because the Signal Crystal was used as a guide, not a tool to control the minds of the people, yet Reramos insisted on finding a way to uncover the secret to accessing the Signal Crystal.
BoBoiBoy's gang eventually managed to bring down the Five Generals and enter the throne room clad in Windara Knight armor to rescue Kuputeri. They went to the throne room to meet the former regent, only to find out that Muskida had disguised himself as Kuputeri, the throne door was locked, and they had entered the trap of Reramos who appeared and greeted them at the top of the palace. BoBoiBoy threatens Reramos to release Kuputeri not wanting to be threatened by the rebels, but Muskida explains that all the rebel threats, even Maripos have been thwarted with the help of his fly spies. Reramos summons the Karantular against the heroes, demanding to finish off BoBoiBoy and his friends. After BoBoiBoy split into three as Thunderstorm, Cyclone and Ice against the monster, Kuputeri told Cyclone that the only way to defeat Karantular is to use the Tempest power. Cyclone went to attack Reramos to stop him from controlling Karantular, removing the Mace of Light from his hand. Despite this, Reramos cowardly told him that Karantular will become extremely wild and uncontrollable without the staff's control. BoBoiBoy transformed into Tempest and successfully defeated the monster. Despite being extremely powerful, Tempest cannot be able to control his power until he managed to turn back to normal thanks to Kuputeri.
In the end, the Windara planet and its people were liberated with Kuputeri resuming her position as Emperess, while Reramos and the Five Generals were arrested by TAPOPS. Fang reveals that the Signal Crystal turns out to be the Power Sphere LightBot, which was safely retrieved by the gang. Kuputeri declines BoBoiBoy's offer to give a fragment of his wind Element to her, stating that he already has full control over it, as they return to the TAPOPS base.
