| “ | Every living being, human and fae alike, needs some sort of an identity. It is what helps us to find our place in the world. The Lightkeepers swear to keep the light of humanity burning in the cold, dark nights where monsters run amok. I happen to be nocturnally inclined myself, and I can certainly strike some measure of fear into other, less benign creatures of the night, so the role of Ratnik suits me perfectly. | „ |
| ~ Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins. |
Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins, better known as Flins, is a playable character in the 2020 open-world fantasy role-playing video game Genshin Impact.
He is a member of the Lightkeepers and a Snowland Fae.
He is voiced by Nic Olsen in English, Ma Zhengyang in Chinese, Nakamura Yūichi in Japanese, and by Shin Yong-woo in Korean. Nakamura Yūichi is voiced as Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, Reinhard van Astrea from Re:Zero, Hawks from My hero Academia, Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail, Bruno Bucciarati from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, License-less Rider aka Mumen Rider from One Punch Man, Guren Ichinose from Seraph of the End, Andy from Undead Unluck, Sein from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Tatsuya Shiba from the Honor at Magic High School, Buddha from Record of Ragnarok, Tsukasa Shishio from Dr. Stone, Toyohisa Shimazu from Drifers, Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist, and Popuko from Pop Team Epic.
Appearance[]
Flins is a tall man with a very pale skin, yellow eyes without pupils with dark circles on his lower eyelids, and dark blue hair with light blue tips, in a choppy and short haircut, except for a long section at the back of his head.
He wears a long sleeved black suit with silver decorations, grey pants that are covered by his suit, black gloves, and black boots.
Personality[]
Flins is a calm and well-mannered man who treats those who aren't hostile in a very polite and elegant way, as when he didn't get mad when Paimon bumped into him. People across Nod-Krai praise him for his gentleman behavior, even having been awarded a medal for it. Even though he's not human, he fights for the people of Nod-Krai and his fellow lightkeepers. It possibly stems from the lightkeepers he met after waking up, seeing their bravery. He even honors those who have fallen.
He doesn't like talking much about his past or reveal to anyone that he is a Fae, with the exception being Traveler.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Fae Physiology: Flins is a Snowland Fae, the Fae are magical spirits from Snezhnaya. For being spirits, these entities are incorporeal, immaterial and immortal in nature, and their form or appearence depends completely on their choice and preference.

- Fae Language: As a Snowland Fae, Flins can speak the Fae language as proven when he was chanting when Aino's canon was about to fire.
Equipment[]
- Lantern: As a member of the Lightkeepers, Flins wields a special lantern that keeps the Wild Hunt at bay.
- Bloodsoaked Ruins: A long spear tainted black by unrelenting battle, it shines with an ethereal glow beneath the ghostly blue light of the lantern-fire.

Trivia[]
- A fairy (also called fay, fae, fae folk, fey, fair folk, or faerie) is a type of mythical being or legendary creature, generally described as anthropomorphic, found in the folklore of multiple European cultures (including Celtic, Slavic, Germanic, and French folklore), a form of spirit, often with metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural qualities. Myths and stories about fairies do not have a single origin but are rather a collection of folk beliefs from disparate sources. Various folk theories about the origins of fairies include casting them as either demoted angels or demons in a Christian tradition, as deities in Pagan belief systems, as spirits of the dead, as prehistoric precursors to humans, or as spirits of nature.
- Kyryll is a Slavic male name that often comes from Cyril (Greek: Κύριλλος Kýrillos), meaning “lordly”.
- His patronymic Chudomirovich is derived from Chudomir, a name of Slavic origin that means “peace is a miracle”.
- Flins is an alleged Slavic deity, potentially a god of death, mentioned for the first time in the book Cronecken der Sassen in 1492 by the German writer Konrad Bothe. Bothe said Flins was worshipped by people in the Harz Mountains and in Lusatia (today's Germany and Poland).
