L, better known as Bart Simpson, is the deuteragonist of “Death Tome”, the second segment of The Simpsons Halloween special "Treehouse of Horror XXXIII". He is the older brother of Lisa Simpson, Maggie Simpson, and the oldest child of Homer Simpson and Marge Simpson. He catches Lisa as the murderer of the Globo-Warm executives, and she almost kills him, but then realizes she was corrupted by the Death Tome, and kills Steve Johnson instead. She turns into a Shinigami, and Bart suggests she kill Janey. Lisa agrees, and they both disappear into the sunset.
Biography[]
The news reports the murders of the Globo-Warm executives as murders committed by “one bloodthirsty super-killer”. Then L says “The super-killer murders by writing names in a supernatural book, or perhaps, tome”. Lisa tries to write L’s name in the Death Tome, but Steve reminds her she needs L’s full name. Lisa figures out that “L” is short for “El Barto”. Bart reveals himself in a dark alley and tells Lisa he caught her by reading her diary and picking the lock. Lisa tells him it was a justice spree, and begins to write his real name in her Death Tome. Bart asks her if she’s really going to do it, and Lisa realizes she was corrupted. It looks like she finished writing Bart’s name in the Death Tome, but she wrote Steve Johnson’s name instead. He is crushed to death by space junk. Lisa turns into a Shinigami, and Bart tells her she can kill Janey, to which she agrees to. They both disappear into the sunset.
