Lakitu is a protagonist from the Mario franchise, but also as the antagonist in some video games roles. He uses a flag in the Mario Kart games as he tells you where to go.

In the Mario Kart series, Lakitu pulls characters out of bottomless pits, lava, and water, and he takes a long time to put the characters on the road, which a lot of people hate. In other Mario Kart games, he saves characters faster, but takes three coins from them. In Mario Kart 8, Lakitu is a playable character.

His goals are to pull characters out of bottomless pits, lava, and water to save them.

He is also one of the main characters in Mario Kart Wii and plays a major role.

In Super Mario Bros., Lakitu makes his debut.

He is one of the playable characters from Tetris Attack, being one brainwashed hero, he is one of Yoshi's friends.

Lakitu is also one of the racers/unlockable characters in Mario Kart 7 and he has a red shell.
The red-shelled Lakitu returns again in Mario Kart 8 as an unlockable character.
