Lakitu is an antagonist from the Mario franchise, although he has a friendly side sometimes. He is also a (former) semi-antagonist, later a protagonist in Mario Kart Wii. He uses a flag in the Mario kart series as he tells you where to go. He also puts up the rude finger and Koopa Troopa gets angry at him and says that he was mean (although they are both still friends with each other).
In the Mario Kart series, Lakitu pulls characters out of bottomless pits, lava, and water, and he takes a long time put the characters on the road, which a lot of people hate. In other Mario Kart games, he saves characters faster, but takes three coins from them. In Mario Kart 8, Lakitu is a playable character.
