Generation 1[]
Lancer first appeared in the 1985 G1 cartoon episode, The Search for Alpha Trion, as a member of the Female Autobots resistance on Cybertron, operating with Elita One and her team.
She is seen helping to free Moonracer from debris and later manning monitors in the team's new base.
Wings Universe[]
In the Wings Universe continuity of Transformers, Lancer is a protegee of the archaeometrist Glyph, working on an archaeological dig in Median alongside Greenlight. She served as a valuable asset, using her agility and tactics to lure Decepticons into an Elite Guard ambush during an attempted raid on the dig site, where they had discovered a powerful relic.

Orthia is the name given to the female combiner formed by the Elita-One team in the War for Cybertron Trilogy marketing material, and Lancer is an member and of her inclusion in Orthia's form.
