Lanny is the deuteragonist of Disney's 2009 Christmas short film Prep & Landing and it's sequels Operation: Secret Santa (2010) and Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice (2011).
He is voiced by Derek Richardson.
Lanny is an elf who lives in the North Pole and is a recent graduate of the Kringle Academy. He becomes a Special Operations Elf for Prep and Landing, which involves elves preparing homes for Santa Claus to enter on Christmas Eve.
He is partnered with Wayne, whom Lanny idolised growing up. At first, Wayne disliked being partnered with Lanny (due to bitterness of not getting promoted to Director of Naughty List Intelligence, which went to Peterson, Wayne's former partner) and on their first mission together, let Lanny prepare the house of a boy named Timmy by himself whilst he slacked off. However, this nearly caused Santa to not come to the house, but Wayne was able to sort out the problem and Timmy got presents. Afterwards, Santa offered Wayne a promotion to Nice List Intelligence, but Wayne turns it down as he wishes to continue working with Lanny.
