Latias is one of two deuteragonists of the 5th installment of the Pokémon film series Heroes, along with Bianca. She is part of the Eon duo who protected the city of Alto Mare and Soul Dew. Comparing to her brother Latios, Latias is the more docile and playful one of the duo. She later made a cameo appearance in Pokémon: Journeys.
Although she does not speak, she makes grunt and howl noises. She is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara.
Appearance[]
She is a Dragon-Psychic type Pokémon with bird-like body that resembles a plane. She has large yellow eyes and long neck. She has short, three-fingered arms than can detract into her body. She has a blue triangle centered in her chest. She also appears to be smaller than her brother, Latios, in 1.4 meters.
In her human form, she disguised as her friend, Bianca, which she appears with short red hair, same eye color, short green shirt with a white skirt.
Abilities[]
- Psychic powers: Showcased when Ash was falling and Latias catch him with her ability.
- Flight: Despite not being a Flying type, she is still capable of flying at high speed.
- Invisibility: Can go full in invisibility without any human adults noticing, although children and other Pokémon are able to sense her presence.
- Shape shifting: She is able to shape shift into anything, though it seems she prefers to just take the form of her fr
- Sight sharing: It allowed her and people around the area to see exactly what her brother Latios was seeing.
- Safeguard: She used this move to save herself, Ash, and Pikachu, as well as stopping the tsunami from hitting Alto Mare.
