Launchpad McQuack is one of the major characters of the 2017 DuckTales. A pilot introduced in Disney's 2017 television reboot DuckTales and originally featured in its 1991-92 spin-off Darkwing Duck and the original DuckTales. He works for Scrooge McDuck as his pilot and later became Darkwing Duck's sidekick in the latter show.
He is voiced by Beck Bennett.
His physical appearance is the same as his 1987 counterpart, he wears an outfit resembling that of private commercial pilots from the 40s/50s, including a baseball cap, a bomber jacket with a fur-lined collar, a green undershirt, and white slacks.
He is a big-hearted, fearless, and dim chauffer & personal pilot. Launchpad is trusting to a fault and always up for anything, which suits Scrooge's purposes just fine as he's the only pilot crazy enough to actually do what Scrooge wants him to do.
- The goofy aspects of the character have been enhanced, often giving Launchpad the role of comic relief.
- Launchpad is similar to Hunk from Voltron: Legendary Defender.
- It is revealed in "Last Christmas!" that Launchpad is Jewish.
