League Militaire is a military organization formed to defend Earth from the Zanscare Empire's invasion and the main protagonist faction of Mobile Suit Victory Gundam.
History[]
In U.C. 0149, the Zanscare Empire invaded Earth and, due to the Earth Federation being severely weakened by that point, where able to occupy swathes of the planet, conquering most of Europe. To oppose the Zanscare war of aggression, the League Militaire was formed with backing from the remnants of Anaheim Electronics to fight back against Zanscare's invasion.
The League Militaire was led by Hangelg Ewin under the alias "Jinn Geneham". To conceal his identity, a decoy leader was used to mislead the Zanscare as to who the real leader of the League Militaire was. Hangelg Ewin's son, Uso Ewin, also served as the ace of the League Militaire and the pilot of the Victory Gundam.
Eventually, the League Militaire triumphed over the Zanscare Empire in a devastating battle to destroy Zanscare's superweapon, the Angel Halo. In the course of the battle, the Angel Halo was destroyed and nearly all of the key figures of the Zanscare Empire were wiped out, resulting in the collapse of the Zanscare Empire and leading to the victory of the League Militaire in the war.
