~ Leah's final note about Adria. |
Leah is a major ally in Diablo III. She is a daughter of Diablo and Adria and a foster niece of Deckard Cain. Despite her lineage, she spend her short life on fighting against Burning Hells, before she was betrayed by Adria, possessed by Diablo and killed during the process.
She is voiced by Jennifer Hale, who also voiced Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect trilogy, Naomi Hunter in the Metal Gear Solid series, and Bastila Shan and Satele Shan in the Star Wars franchise.
Biography[]
Leah was born as a daughter of Adria and Diablo and was meant to be a vessel for her father from the very beginning. Shortly after her birth, Adria gave her daughter away to Gillian and departed.
After Gillian went mad, Deckard Cain took care of her. For years, they had been searching for artifacts and eventually went to New Tristram. There, Archangel Tyrael fell from High Heavens. During search for Tyrael's sword, Deckard was killed by Maghda from the order of Belial. Leah then sworn revenge to Lord of Lies.
In Caldeum, Leah, Tyrael and The Nephalem encountered Adria and retrieved the Black Soulstone. They managed to kill Belial and imprison him in the Soulstone. After the fall of Lord of Lies, Leah was given vision of Azmodan threatening her.
Leah, Tyrael, Adria and The Nephalem departed to Bastion's Keep, to face Azmodan's Army of Sin. While the rest fought Azmodan, Leah was trying to keep Belial, Mephisto, Baal, Andariel and Duriel in the Soulstone. Eventually, she managed to trap Azmodan in the Soulstone.
Unfortunately, in that moment Adria betrayed them all, revealing she served Diablo from the very beginning. She forced the Soulstone into Leah, which allowed Diablo to possess her body. Then, he teleported to High Heavens to destroy them.
Because of the possession, Leah's soul was shattered. When Diablo died during the fight with The Nephalem, Leah died with him; her body wasn't found. It is unknown what happened with her soul - did it managed to free from Diablo or stayed merged with him.
