Biography[]
Double Dungeon Arc[]
Joohee chats with Jinwoo about his risks of continuing to work as a hunter with him assuring that he will be fine before the rest of the team enters the dungeon. After clearing a dungeon, Joohee heals the wound on Jin-Woo's leg while questioning why he still intends to work as a hunter despite having succumbed so many dangers from the past dungeon he entered. She and Jin-Woo join the other hunters upon hearing that another gate is found. Song Chi-Yul announces his instructions to the others and requests them to vote if they want to fight or not. Joohee is one of them to deny, saying that she does not want to go.
The team makes their decision with the last vote by Jin-Woo that he chose to go. On their way to enter the dungeon, the boy apologizes for voting yes. She angrily comments on her opinion about how she thinks of him risking as a hunter. The group arrives at the dungeon gate. Chi-Yul pushes the gigantic door, causing blue flames to ignite across the large room. The place appears to be gigantic, and old and is surrounded by gigantic stone statues wearing instruments and weapons. Joohee comments on how she feels about the biggest statue in the middle sitting on the throne staring at them. The group comes across an instruction written in runic text, the Carthenon Temple's commandments.
Out of disturb, Joohee grabs Jin-Woo to notify him that she saw the eyeball of the statue moving. As the others read the rules out loud, the gate closes. One of the hunters decides to take his decision to leave but is brutally beheaded by one of the statues guarding the entrance. Horrified, Jin-Woo looks at the statue sitting on the throne who is looking at him. Jin-Woo sees the statue is about to fire an attack as Joo-Hee holds her head. He yells at everyone to duck, altering them to evade a beam of attack that kills a few of them.
Traumatized, Joohee closes her eyes and waits. One of the hunters declares that he will not die like this and attempts to leave the place by charging at the door with Chi-Yul warning him. The hunter is instantly incinerated by another beam of light unleashed by the statue. Chi-Yul thinks of the reasons the statues attacked the others. Jin-Woo decides to test the statue and stands up, causing the statue to move his eyes toward him and ready to fire another beam of attack. He stops when Jin-Woo knee. Now knowing that his thoughts were right, that they should bow to the "lord", he yells at the others to bow down to the statue. Upon doing so the statue's facial expression began to change into a murderous sadistic smile.
The statue began to stand up and walk toward the survivors as his steps broke the floor. Another gets killed when he decides that they should still praise the "lord". The hunters began to run. Soon, a large number of them are killed by the statues wielding weapons. Jin-Woo yells at the others to go near the statues holding instruments. As Chi-Yul goes near one, music plays and tells the other to do the same. He yells at Jin-Woo that he is going toward the wrong statue. The boy manages to reach a statue that begins to play music. To her shock upon reuniting with Jin-Woo, she discovers him with only one leg left and tries her best to recover him, only for her to nosebleed with Jin-Woo suggesting she to not.
The survivors join together at the center and see the largest statue summoning a pillar in the middle of the room. Kim Sang-Shik threatens Chi-Yul by pointing his sword at him, saying that he is responsible of this situation. He agrees with Sang-Shik, as Jin-Woo tries to stop him. He walks on the pillar, which lights up the fire around with the rest of the survivors joining him. To their shock, the door is opened while the smaller statues start glowing and walk toward the center. As the survivors one by one, Joohee is asked by Chi-Yul for her aid, but she says that her legs are unable to move. He tells her that is due to mana exhaustion after using too much mana trying to heal Jin-Woo. Jin-Woo suggests that she leave this place and give the stone that he got from Chi-Yul to her as a promise of the promise he made to her.
She refuses to leave before getting knocked unconscious by Chi-Yul and grabbed on his shoulder as he exited the dungeon.
