~ 50/50 to David Mason, Harper and Samuels about her backstory.
Leilani Tupuola, also known as 50/50 is a major protagonist and playable character in the 2025 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. She's also a playable operative in the above mentioned game's other modes and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
She is a former New Zealand special forces who received bionic enhancements to combat her degenerative diseases, and received recommendation to join David Mason's unit Specter One. Upon Raul Menendez's sudden reappearance ten years after his death, 50/50 and the team are sent to investigate the operations of the Guild.
She is voiced and motion-captured by Frankie Adams, who will portray Sina in the upcoming Moana live-action adaptation.
Leilani Tupuola was born in Gisborne, New Zealand presumably around the 2000s-2010s to unnamed parents. Little is known of her youth besides spending her time surfing and sailing, but she followed her older brother into joining the military. However, Leilani chose New Zealand's navy instead of the army like her sibling. [1] At some point, she received the nickname "50/50".
Military Career[]
Tupuola excelled in her training until she began to suffer with swimming, learning that she had been diagnosed with a degenerative disease. Despite this, she shifted to the intelligence field to continue her service and prove her worth. At some point, she joined an experimental bionic program, receiving a bionic arm and enhancing her capabilities. This caught the eye of New Zealand's special forces and recruited the New Zealander in exchange she underwent another surgery. Agreeing without hesitation, Leilani underwent surgery and received a bionic arm.
Roji Incident[]
In 2033, 50/50 participated in an operation located in Roji, Japan, with it being her fourth post-surgery mission. Working alongside a soldier named Lamarck, she disobeyed orders and pushed forward out of frustration of the civilian causalities. Pushing herself too hard, she overloaded her augments and overwhelmed by bots, but was saved when backup arrived. Despite committing insubordination and Lamarck noting that she could be court-martialed, she was allowed to continue her career within the special forces.
Joining Specter One[]
Around 2033-2034, Leilani caught the U.S. Special Forces' attention and received a recommendation from Mike Harper to Specter One - which consisted of its leader David "Section" Mason, Harper and Eric Samuels. Before the events of the game, 50/50 participated in two operations under Section's command and proved herself to be a reliable and capable teammate. She also worked alongside JSOC commander Troy Marshal, mission command and hacker Chloe "Karma" Lynch and Specter Two.

Investigating the Guild[]
In 2035, a video surfaces online showing Raul Menendez, the infamous cartel leader turned terrorist killed ten years prior, alive and expressing his intent to burn down the world. Following the video's release that coincided with global terrorist attacks, the Guild, a tech and arms conglomerate, promises to protect the world from the threat. Dubious of the Guild's intentions and the timing of the video, JSOC sends Specter One to infiltrate their R&D facility. During the operation, the team retrieve the data drive from the Guild's quantum computer and place explosives across the server room. However, they're confronted by the company's CEO Emma Kagan, who douses them with a red-colored toxin.
50/50 and her teammates survive the exposure as Mason detonates the explosives, allowing them to escape amidst the chaos. During their escape, Specter One suffer a vivid hallucination involving Menendez in Nicaragua, but come to their senses once they defeat the manifestation. The team learns that the toxin escaped containment due to the explosives, and are given two objectives by Marshall - give the data drive to Karma and locate their Guild insider. In the latter objective, the team suffer from another vivid hallucination after Mason recalls Frank Woods' torture by Menendez. After defeating a nightmarish-version of Woods, the insider reveals that the toxin is called Cradle before dying.
Specter One then tell Marshall about the Cradle and are informed that Karma needs a second quantum computer in order to fully analyze the drive. Since they destroyed the computer at the R&D facility, 50/50 and the team are sent to spike the Guild's server farms to locate a second one. While traveling to the location, the Guild sends their operator Priya Zaveri to ambush and eliminate the squad. However, they eliminate the sniper and obtain her access card, allowing to enter the Guild's server rooms and send the data to Lynch. Locating a second quantum computer at the Forge in Japan, Marshall sends Specter Two to retrieve the data/decryption key while Specter One extracts to a VTOL and await further instructions.
After Specter Two succeeded in their operation, its leader Slade "Razor" Barrick speaks of his concern of a mole to Specter One before they're attacked by drones. Following this, Marshall and Karma task the team to shoot down the last drone so they can obtain its data cache. However, 50/50, Samuels and Harper's past experiences and trauma causes the Cradle to affect them once again and send them to Los Angeles, Japan and the USS Obama. Upon defeating a giant manifestation of Harper, Specter One deduces that the Cradle is attempting to use their fears against them and learn Razor is the mole. While Barrick's decryption key wiped out the data drive, Karma was able to identify the Guild's bio-engineer Gideon Falkner, allowing Specter One to find and interrogate him for Kagan's whereabouts.
At the sanctum, 50/50 and the team are doused with the Cradle and sent into a hallucination involving Mason's late father Alex Mason. Once helping David resolve his lingering issues with his father, the team leave the sanctum and are work on destroying shipments of the Cradle. Kagan thwarts their plan by releasing a large douse of the bioweapon onto Specter One and her own soldiers, which allows Razor to arrive to eliminate his former allies. After killing Barrick, Specter One travels to the Blackheart mining rig, which is revealed to hiding a underwater complex where the Cradle is produced. Inside the complex, 50/50 and the team destroy the Cradle's production by overheating the bioreactor and apprehend an unrepentant Kagan.
Endgame[]
Following the events of the campaign, Colonel Marshall assigns Specter One to perform operations across Avalon to remove the remnants of the Guild. After killing Dr. Falkner, the team is informed that Alden Dorne, Kagan's right hand turned acting CEO of the Guild, is preparing for global operations by mobilizing his troops.
