Leshawna is a major character in the Total Drama franchise.
She was a camper on Total Drama Island, where she was a member of the Screaming Gophers. She was a cast member on Total Drama Action, and was placed on the Screaming Gaffers team. She was also a contestant on Total Drama World Tour as a member of Team Victory. She was seen with the other original contestants on a yacht in the first episode of Total Drama: Revenge of the Island. She was a contestant on Skatoony.
She was voiced by Novie Edwards, who also voiced Jackie in CyberChase.
Appearance[]
Leshawna is a moderately obese, yet somewhat short African-Canadian teenage girl with a particularly large butt, long dark hair tied up in a ponytail, beige hoop earrings, and black eyes. She wears a light yellow mall kiosk T-shirt with kumquats, calf-length jeans, and dark brown sandals.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength - On multiple occasions, Leshawna is shown to be one of the stronger contestants in the series. She is capable of lifting other contestants (mostly Heather) in the air above her head, and throwing them great distances. She easily gives Duncan a piggyback ride, Duncan using her butt as a makeshift seat. She is strong enough to visibly damage Heather's face solely by slapping her, possibly knocking out one of her teeth in the process.
- Combat - Leshawna is a street brawler, often relying on threats of violence against her enemies. Though she does not get into many altercations onscreen, her fight with Heather during Total Drama World Tour highlights her skills. She manages to cause bruising and swelling to Heather's face solely by slapping her, and easily tackles her to the ground with great strength and speed.
- Flatulence - Leshawna’s farts are shown to be incredibly powerful, rivaling even those of Owen. In Full Metal Drama, Leshawna farts at the enemy team, entrapping five people (including Harold) in a blinding smokescreen. Leshawna.
Weaknesses[]
- Manipulation - Because of Leshawna's large ego, she can be easily manipulated into unwittingly following another contestant's plans. When she finds out Heather was kissing Trent (whom Gwen had a crush on), Leshawna convinced the remaining contestants to vote him off, not knowing the entire encounter was a trick on Heather's part to do just that. During World Tour, Alejandro convinces her to let all her emotions out unfiltered, which leads to Leshawna attacking Heather and ultimately her own elimination.
- Anger - Because of her short temper, she does things that are wrong out of impulse.
- Large ego - Leshawna's inflated ego has gotten her in trouble as she doesn't think what she is doing is wrong, most notably when she proudly attacked Heather when she was trying to help her. Even though Lindsay hated Heather, she thought that was going too far. Along with DJ being one of Heather's friends who didn't like senseless violence and Alejandro secretly lost on purpose out of guilt for indirectly getting her hurt, it was enough for the two to eliminate her despite believing she "seized the day" when in reality it cost her team the challenge and it was wrong for her to brutally beat her up when she could have just pushed her off the platform.
- Gluttony - Though not as prevalent as the likes of Owen, Leshawna's stomach has gotten her into multiple situations. She is eliminated from the killer maniac challenge while in pursuit of brownies from Chef's kitchen. Her belly growls whilst she holds up the canoe in the boot camp challenge, signaling her weakened state. During Full Metal Drama, she willingly drinks both of Chef's bran smoothies, as she claims she has been starving since DJ's elimination, leading to her flatulence later in the episode.
- Allergies - Leshawna has revealed throughout the show she has multiple food allergies. She is allergic to pineapple, which causes her to break out in hives. She is also lactose intolerant, simply stating you do NOT want to be there when it effects her.
Trivia[]
- While Leshawna hasn't been seen since her quick appearance in the Total Drama: Revenge of the Island premiere, Todd Kauffman stated that there were originally plans for Leshawna to make a cameo appearance in the fourth season, but apparently for pacing reasons, her cameo was cut along with those of Harold and Tyler. It's believed by fans that Leshawna's cameo could have been in the episode "Ice Ice Baby" due to it being one of few Revenge of the Island episodes which didn't feature any cameos of the original cast.
