Levy McGarden is a major protagonist in the Fairy Tail franchise. She's a Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild and is the leader of Shadow Gear team.
She later became a member of Magic Council's Custody Enforcement Unit following Fairy Tail's temporary disbandment, but after the defeat of Avatar, she left to rejoin Fairy Tail. She is also the girlfriend of Gajeel Redfox, with the two expecting their first child.
She is voiced by Mariya Ise in Japanese and Kristi Kang in English. In Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, she is voiced by Hannah Alyea.
Appearance[]
Levy is a short young girl of a slender build who stands at a rather below-average height for her age. She has shoulder-length blue hair, which has eyebrow-length bangs, is normally tied up with a colorful bandana around her head. While initially portrayed as having rather straight hair, her hair has slowly gained a more wavy, wild look, with more locks hanging down the sides of her face. Levy has a variety of outfits, but her most preferred type of attire appears to be dresses and tank tops, both of which reveal the guild mark on her left scapula. When performing tasks such as researching, she wears a pair of Gale-Force Reading Glasses and tends to tie up her hair to keep it out of her face.
Personality[]
Levy is a cheerful and kind girl, and she easily gets along well with her guildmates. Her kind spirit is shown through her reluctance to get involved in the many brawls that many of the guild's other members engage in, as unlike most of them, she's not into fighting for fun or any other situation where it isn't necessary. She is also very forgiving, as she made peace with Gajeel Redfox for torturing her and her teammates before the start of the Fairy Tail-Phantom Lord war, and later let him be her partner for the S-Class Promotion Trial (although it's also because Gajeel proclaimed himself as her partner).
Levy has a passion for reading books, which is how she and Lucy Heartfilia quickly became friends due to the latter's mutual love of reading. Levy has also been the only person to read Lucy's novel with the latter's permission, demonstrating their mutual trust in each other. However, Levy can be competitive on occasion, a good example being when prior to the S-Class Promotion Trial, she seemingly rewrote Freed Justine's runes for the whole boat. In reality though, it is revealed that she rewrote the runes solely for Gajeel and herself. Levy is also one of, if not the most mature member of the guild, as she abandoned the S-Class Promotion Trial in favor of unifying the guild members, whereas some other guild members did not mind the trial at all.
