The Life Entity is one of the most powerful and ancient entities in the DC Comics Universe. It is a primordial being who is the embodiment of the White Light of Creation. It is the source of all life in the universe, and representing Life itself, is one of the two most fundamental aspects of the cosmos. It is the direct counterpart to the other half of these two aspects, Nekron, who is the Black Light of Death.
History
The Life Entity came into existence with the shattering of the Emotional Spectrum. It is the Embodiment of the first White Light, representing Life. It is possibly the second being to emerge in the newborn cosmos, following Nekron and the primordial darkness that existed beforehand. It is responsible for bringing life to the universe. With the rise of life, it then went on to create the other Emotional Embodiments; Ion, Parallax, Predator, Ophidian, Butcher, Adara, and Proselyte. Much like itself, these beings represent fundamental emotional aspects of the universe, and embody the colored lights that come with them.
