Optimus Prime is a main deuteragonist of 2025 Japanese anime web series Transformers: Wild King. He is a Giraffe Energy Beast who bonded with Optimus Prime and they merged into Lightning Optimus.
He is voiced by Teppei Uenishi.
Biography[]
Lightlong came from the Animal Tribe of the Planet Elementros, but both Animal and Dinosaur Tribes cannot be together since there's a rule that neither of them can enter each other's territory.
When Optimus Prime arrived on Planet Elementros to look for his friend Megatron, Lightlong then runs up to him and accidentally crashed into a tree, which almost crushed Optimus down. Optimus seemingly about to slam down a tree on him, causing Lightlong becomes panicked and apologized for his actions before. Excited to meet him for the first time, Lightlong wanted to try turning into a vehicle like Optimus, which the latter believes it to be impossible.
But suddenly, Lightlong almost got hit by Captain Volca's Jurassic Ball Fire from Megatron before Optimus steps in and blocked the beam with his axe. After Optimus is knocked down to the ground by Megatron while fighting against him, Lightlong explains to him about both tribes on Planet Elementros and later became horrified over Megatron and Dinosaur Tribe's plans of conquering the Planet Elementros. Touched by his courage and heroism, Lightlong asked Optimus if they could Wildocking together, which the latter accepts. Optimus and Lightlong later merged together into Lightning Optimus, ready to fight against Megatron and the Dinosaur Tribe.
While fighting against Megatron and Captain Volca, Lightlong unleashed Lightlong Slash at Megatron by striking at Volca's head and deflected their Jurrasic Vol Flare with Lightning Energy, allowing Optimus to sending Megatron flying away by punching him in the face. Believing the legend might be true, he told Optimus that a brave hero will descend from the sky one day and be given the power of the five elements. After Leafback return back to Megatron and merged with him by replacing his left arm, both Optimus and Lightlong were almost annihilated by their Jurassic Leaf Flare.
It turns out they're actually survived and both Lightlong and Optimus were taking a refugee in a cave where they later meet up with a shy and kind-hearted Hydrophant. Lightlong eventually introduced Optimus to Hydrophant and tells him that he might be a legendary hero, causing Hydrophant to get excited. After discovering they haven't received news from Drillnohorn, Lightlong told Hydrophant there have been a fight with the Dinosaur Tribe and warned Optimus about how easily scared Hydrophant is. As Hydrophant runs away in fear, he told Optimus about how powerful Hydrophant is despite his fear. While they went after Hydrophant, Lightlong and Optimus avoid a tree after it was crashed by Hydrophant. Later, he runs up to Optimus and is become horrified that Ignite Leo is already in "league" with the Dinosaur Tribe.
When Ignite Leo began to attack Optimus, Lightlong steps out and attempt to stop him, but only to get pummeled back to the ground. Since Leo cannot be reasoned with, Lightlong Wildocking with Optimus, becoming Lightning Optimus. They attempt to unleash Lightlong Slash at Leo, but only to be blocked by Spirituan's Earth Defense. Leo then proceed to mock them both and attempt to finish him off, but only for Hydrophant to steps in and transform to protect them by launching a stream of water at Leo, allowing him to Wildocking with Optimus, becoming Lightning Aqua Optimus. They finally unleashed Hydro Thunder Splash at Ignite Leo, defeating both him and Spirituan. Lightlong then went to Ignite Leo and confronted him for attacking both him and Optimus, which Leo apologized and admitted that he and Spirituan wanted to test out Optimus' power and to prevent those from trying to get to the Element Shield.
