The Little Green Men, also known as the Squeeze Toy Aliens, are supporting characters in the Toy Story franchise. They are three-eyed squeaky toy aliens who are residents of Pizza Planet. They often get fascinated even by the most trivial of things, such as a mechanical claw.
They are voiced by Jeff Pidgeon and Debi Derryberry in the films, Corey Burton in the the first movie's tie-in video game, and Patrick Warburton in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
History[]
Toy Story[]
Even though the trio didn't appear in the first movie, a group of their kind were seen in Pizza Planet in the Claw Machine. Buzz (while still deluded in thinking he is real) rushes to the claw space ship thinking it is ready for launch, and his ticked home, destroying his and Woody's chance to return to Andy passing by. He jumps over the prize prize slot and landed on a group of Little Green Men. Buzz introduces him as the greet him. After he explains his situation, Buzz asks them who is in charge of the ship. The aliens point up to a metal claw above them claiming it is their master. Woody jumps on Buzz, forcing them both to hide because Sid is coming. Sid activates the claw and catches one of the Little Green Men as a prize, who claims he has been chosen to go. Sid spots Buzz and catches him with the claw, but Woody, with all his mite, interferes, pulling Buzz by the ankles. But the LGMs interfered, forcing them to be pulled out, claiming Buzz has been chosen and the claw must not be angered. While Andy's toys, and the prized LGM are taken to Sid's house, the LGM was given to Sid's dog, Scud, as a chew toy. Fortunately, near the end of the movie, when Woody and the mutant toys revealed their life force to scare and defeat Sid, the chewed up LGM had survived and is among the Mutant toys.
Toy Story 2[]
Despite being major characters in the film, the three Little Green Men first appear at the climax of the film. They appear as car ornaments in the Pizza Planet truck. At first, Buzz was annoyed at their presence when he, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Hamm, and Rex first meet them while chasing Al. But then they decide to help them save Woody. At a sudden turn, the Aliens almost fly out of the car before Mr. Potato Head rescues them, which causes the Little Green Men to be attached to Mr. Potato Head. At the end of the film, the Aliens later become Andy's toys.
Toy Story 3[]
This time, the Little Green Men have a bigger role than the first two films. They were seen in use by Andy before he grew up and abandoned them due to until they are donated to Sunnyside Daycare. They all got captured by Lotso's henchmen. The Aliens tried to get to the claw, but they get ran over by a truck explained by the Chatter Telephone. They rescue the toys from being incinerated with a crane claw. They return to Andy, who gives them to Bonnie.
Toy Story 4[]
The Little Green Men are minor characters in the film who are seen at the beginning in the flashback being dumped on Andy's room. Years later, at their current location with Bonnie, the Aliens are seen being excited about Bonnie's road trip and being confused by Forky. This is their last appearance in Toy Story series.
Other media[]
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command[]
The Little Green Men make appearances as one of Buzz Lightyear's supporters.
Disney Infinity[]
Aliens appear in the original Disney Infinity as part of the Toy Story in Space Play Set, and can be unlocked for placing in the Toy Box by collecting Prize Capsules in the Play Set. Each Prize Capsule unlocks an Alien wearing a Toy Story themed costume. There are 25 Aliens to collect. In 2.0 and 3.0, all the Aliens are obtained for free by placing the Toy Story Play Set piece on the base, but can alternatively be purchased from the Toy Store if the player does not have the Play Set. All other Toys that could only be unlocked for use in the Toy Box from the Play Set are also given for free with the Toy Story Play Set piece. This includes the buildings that Buzz, Woody and Jessie funded and erected to enhance life on their planet, as well as the Zurgbots and the Goo Volcano that the Aliens had to be protected from in the original Play Set.
Aliens frequently tasked the player character with finding and healing injured Aliens and escorting them to picturesque sites. Occassionally, an Alien with a baseball glove would appear, who will reward the player with sparks when thrown a ball. Aliens do not play any major role in the following two Disney Infinity games, but using Creativi-Toys, they can be used as mission givers for whatever story the player may create, and can be used in an even greater variety of ways. However, there is no known way to allow Aliens to reprise their role as elusive spark-givers.
