Lloyd, better known as Loid or Roid, is the tritagonist of EarthBound Beginnings.
Appearance
Lloyd has white hair and wears black-cyan glasses. He wears a red shirt with brown pants, yellow socks and red-white shoes.
Personality
Much like the other characters in Mother 1, Lloyd’s character isn’t very fleshed out. Found in Twinkle Elementary School, it is revealed that many kids pick on Lloyd for being weak and nerdy, which causes him to hide himself in a trash can. After Ninten befriends Lloyd, his usefulness is shown. Lloyd is versatile, he can use bombs, flamethrowers, bottle rockets, and other dangerous weapons to defeat his enemies. Lloyd seems to grow quite a bit of courage throughout the game, as he is able to save his friends from the R0738 on Mt. Itoi and joins Ninten and Ana to defeat Giegue. After Giegue is defeated, it is seen that Lloyd is no longer an outcast, and is celebrated as a hero by the children of Twinkle Elementary.

Lloyd againt makes a cameo in the Magicant stage, he also appears as a ace primary grab-type spirit that increases the users' electric attacks. His spirit battle is a stamina battle on the Magicant stage against Villager and red R.O.B. where Bob-ombs rain from the sky. Only the Villager needs to be defeated to win.
