Lois Lane is one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Superman) of the 2021 TV series Superman & Lois.

She is a former reporter for the Daily Planet and reporter for the Smallville Gazette who is the wife of Superman and the mother of their twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan Kent. Lois and her husband move the family to Smallville when her mother-in-law dies of a stroke and Jordan begins developing powers. Throughout her career, she helps her family against any threat and exposes the truth.

She was portrayed by Elizabeth Tulloch, who portrayed her Earth-38 counterpart.

History[]

Background[]

Lois Lane was born to Samuel Lane and an unnamed woman. When she was growing up, Lois' mother abandoned the family, leaving Lois to "mother" her sister, Lucy. However, it was most difficult for her because her father always prioritized his job first, something she tried to understand and came to somewhat respect.

When Lois was fifteen, she began dating guys her father did not approve of. One of these boyfriends were named Dave, a Primus cover band artist. She found dating him to be awful.

In the early 2000s, Lois started working at the Daily Planet as a reporter. During this time, she met Clark Kent, a socially awkward young man from Smallville, Kansas. Unlike everyone else, Lois grew frustrated with Metropolis' new, unnamed superhero.
