Longfellow Deeds is the protagonist of the 2002 movie Mr. Deeds.

He is very friendly man who does good deeds. Whenever he sees someone in trouble he is there to help them.
Biography[]
2 men Chuck Ceder and Cecil Anderson flew to Mandrake Falls, New Hampshire and were taken to a pizza shop owned by Deeds. They both informed Deeds that his uncle died and left him 40 billion dollars and that he was Blake's closest living relative. Deeds packs up to go to New York and flew to there. Ceder and Cecil take him to his Uncle's house to live in.
Bennett and Marty planned a fake mugging. Deeds saves Bennett by beating up Marty and handing Bennett her purse. They walks around the city and talked about their life. They went to a fancy restaurant and met a group of rich people. Who were secretly making fun of him. He finds out what they were doing all along and beat them up and left the restaurant with Bennett. The next day, Deeds wakes up before Chuck Ceder enters his room and truns his TV showing a fake news report by Marc McGrath about Deeds making bad decisions. Emilio informs Deeds that his Uncle's funeral is today. In church Deeds made a poem which he read to the people at the funeral.
Later, Deeds and Bennett were bike riding around Central Park before the noticed firetruck driving to a burning building in the distance which they ran over there to look. Deeds climbs up the building and saves all 7 cats in the burning building and saved a cat lady who was also in the burning building as the crowd claps to show appreciation. Deeds take Bennett home and handed her a lovely poem about her before they kissed and made her cry in happiness.
Deeds prepares a big surprise date for Bennett at basketball game. Chuck ceder puts on Mac McGrath news exposing Bennett that her name isn't Pam Dawson. Feeling heartbroken, Deeds packs up and heads back to New Hampshire and moves back into his pizza shop. Deeds was delivering pizzas to his friend Crazy Eyes before he notices Bennett drowning in icy water. He saves Bennett by breaking through the ice with his black foot and pulls her out and gains their love back together.
While at the shareholders meeting Deeds makes statements to the shareholders to not sell because they would end up fired if they do. Bennett shows up and reads his Uncle's personal journal to the people that Blake's son makes him Emilio the new owner of Blake's company and fires Chuck Ceder for his evil acts. Emilio offers Deeds 1 billion dollars which Deeds accepts. Deeds wrote a poem that was read by various people around the world.
