Lora (Japanese: ラウラ, Raura, Laura) is the deuteragonist in the video game, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country. She is a Driver from Torna that fought in the Aegis War with her fellow Blades, Jin and Haze. Having been bonded with him since she was ten years old, she and Jin share a deep bond with one another.

She would eventually meet her demise in Spessia, when Amalthus led his assault in search for the Aegis. Her death left a huge impact on Jin, motivating him to search for Elysium and kill the Architect.

She was voiced by Saori Hayami in the Japanese version of the game, who also voices Haze, and by Anna Koval in its English dub.

Personality[]

Lora is a kind-hearted individual that gets along well with others. She generally acts in a cordial manner and acknowledges those around her with respect, especially those of important status such as Addam.

As she lived most of her life with no money and home, Lora quickly learned how to survive on her own with Jin, forming a strong bond between the two. Her friendly and outgoing demeanour contrasts that with him, who is generally more stoic and reserved in comparison. It's also for this reason, however, that Lora acts as something of an emotional crutch for Jin, as she essentially helps bring Jin's warmer side around others.

Despite her merciful nature, there are times where Lora has shown that she has little to no tolerance towards those that insult and threaten her loved ones. Most notably is her interactions with Gort, whom she initially wanted Jin to spare out of respect for looking after her late mother, but later put him down for good when he insulted her mother and threatened to kill her.
