History[]
The former boss of MI6, M, James Bond must track down the notorious killer, Marco Sciarra, kill him and participate in his funeral since his womanizing methods will likely allow him to get the information he needs there. Bond goes to Mexico and kills Sciarra, however, making him look like a terrorist.
Three days later in Rome, his wife Lucia rushes to his funeral, initially unaware of Bond and Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Bond later approaches her and offers his condolences, but as the conversation continues and Lucia accuses him of saying insensitive things due to being in a grieving state, he observes that she doesn't seem to actually be grieving at all. Returning home that night, Lucia is nearly executed by her two henchmen, who are also working for Oberhauser. However, Bond arrives and saves her by killing both of them. Instead of being grateful, she tells Bond that she is wasting her time as more men will come to kill her.
When she realizes that Bond has killed her husband and is in his house, she berates him for this and calls herself "a dead woman". However, after acknowledging that they are both in trouble and will likely end up dead unless they cooperate with each other, Lucia reveals that she knows about the organization and tells Bond that there is a meeting at Palazzo Cardenza.
The night before he leaves her, Bond tells Lucia that he will be safe with his friend Felix Leiter. The last words Bond says to Lucia are "good fortune, donna Lucia", Italian which translates to, "good fortune, Lady Lucia".
