His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the 1st Kronus Regiment and today is our Victory Day!
~ Lukas Alexander to any opposing faction about to attack the Imperial Guard headquarters on Kronus.

Lukas Alexander, better known as General Alexander or Governor Alexander is a recurring character in the Warhammer 40,000 franchise. He serves as one of the playable characters in the 2006 video game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Dark Crusade. He is a General in the Astra Militarum ordered to retake the planet of Kronus for the Imperium of Man with the help of the 1st Kronus "Liberators" Regiment.

Dawn of War Dark Crusade[]

Lukas Alexander arrived on Kronus in pursuit of the Eldar Farseer Taldeer, and would installed a base of operations in an abandoned city called Ironworks Bay and would find a massive Hellstorm cannon of an Imperator-class war titan. The General would report his discovery and the Imperial Guard High Command would give him new orders, such as securing the titan's cannon and along with several relics of the Techpriests of the Adeptus Mechanicus and return Kronus to the Imperium. The Imperial Guard Segmentum Command would ordered the General to drive out aliens and heretics besetting on Kronus and appoint him Governor-Militant, Lukas Alexander would then create the 1st Kronus Regiment from his ground forces using Cadian equipments, Governor Alexander would rename the city of Ironworks Bay into Victory Bay, making it his planetary capital and would offer the alias of Liberators to his regiment. However the Blood Ravens led by Captain Davian Thule arrived on Kronus with the task of purging this world, Lukas Alexander was given the order to withdrawn from Kronus but refused as his orders were strict, regardless of the demand of the Space Marines. The Imperial Guard would be forced to battle the Blood Ravens Space Marines as an invading force.

If the player to choose to play as the Imperial Guard and successfully defeated the other opposing factions, Lukas Alexander would become the ruling Imperial Governor of Kronus and regarded as a hero to his men, even forced to face the oppostion of the Blood Ravens Space Marines, the Governor carried out his orders without questions and received rewards for his successful campaign. The Imperial Guard Segmentum Command ordered his 1st Kronus Regiment to remain on Kronus during a period of pacification and then to be ship out to the next conflict zone while Governor Alexander would remain behind to rule over Kronus in the Emperor's name. A large number of Techpriests would eventually arrive on Kronus to oversee a massive campaign of public works, Governor Alexander would give them permission to resume their study on the Hellstorm cannon with the hope of returing it to the Emperor's service. Governor Alexander would then promote Captain Vash into Colonel and gave him the command of the 1st Kronus Regiment. Lukas Alexander had begun his rise as a power to be reckoned with in the sector of the galaxy.

Trivia[]

  • Lukas Alexander's victory in the Imperial Guard campaign would lead to an alternate timeline of Warhammer 40,000. However in the canonical plot, Lukas Alexander was killed and his regiment defeated by Captain Davian Thule and his Blood Raven Space Marines, and the Blood Ravens would return Kronus to the Imperium not before purging and pillaging the planet, but the Imperial Guard would report to the Imperial Inquisition of the Blood Ravens actions but Captain Davian Thule managed to convince his interrogators that his actions were justified and that Lukas Alexander should have bowed to the Blood Ravens orders and withdrawn from Kronus peacefully but this would also precedes Azariah Kyras' allegiance to Chaos and the Blood Ravens defeat in the Kaurava System.
