Lyria (ルリア/Ruria) is one of the main characters in Granblue Fantasy. She is a mysterious girl that the protagonist ran into one day when the protagonist is at training in the forests of Zinkenstill, and thus causing the main plot of the story. She ran away from the Erste Empire because it would use her as an experimental subject. She also held the empathic power and is capable of summoning the primal beasts, such as Bahamut, whose known to be a godlike dragon being. Due to the possessing the powers of Bahamut, it's likely to be a reason why the Erste Empire experimenting on her to be a weapon, in which Katalina finds out to be horrendous and defects the empire she once serve in and joining the protagonist, Vyrn, and Rackam along with Katalina.
She is voiced by Nao Tōyama in Japanese and Kira Buckland in English.
Background[]
Little known about her life prior before being captured by the Erste Empire. In captivity, she was subjected for the various experiments primarily related to the dark essence. She was experimented to gather the essence of the gods in which causing her to begs a primal beast for help and therefore, causing a destruction. She's isolated from the other subjects, in which, only Katalina shows a genuine sympathy for her. After escaped from the Erste Empire, she joins the Grandcypher crew and would recollects her memories with her journal.

Lyria is a genuinely idealistic girl that loves adventures, though she suffers an amnesia after being subject of experimentation by the Erste Empire. She occassionally forgot about her own powers such as summoning Primal beasts when the dangers are present, even when there's nothing obstructing her. As a result of her amnesia, Katalina bought a note book for her journal to recollect her memories. She also known for huge appetite for food, including Katalina's cooking. Beyond that, she also genuinely shows kindness, mercifullness, and empathy, by seeing the good of everyone, even someone who wants her dead and someone who is beyond redemption, in spite of her naivety.
