M.B. Nash is a minor character in Jurassic Park III. He's a mercenary hired by Udesky with Cooper to go on Isla Sorna and find the Kirbys' son, Eric.

He was portrayed by Bruce A. Young.

Description

Nash is a tall black man with a short beard. On the island he wears sunglasses and is equipped with a Heckler & Koch SL8-1 and an M68 Aim point red dot sight. Despite being an imposing mercenary, Nash is revealed to be a coward as he abandons his sidekick Cooper to the clutches of the Spinosaurus and refuses to stop the plane for him.

History

Nash first appears with Udesky and Cooper in an aircraft graveyard where he describes the weapons in front of Cooper. After which the two mercenaries test them on an old plane that explodes and Udesky assures Mr. Kirby that the rescue will be a real walk in the park.

Later, Nash flies the plane with Udesky and offers Paul to land, but the latter refuses and demands to go around the island first. After Cooper knocked out Grant who was refusing to land, the plane was on the ground when he regained consciousness. As Amanda screams into a megaphone, Udesky and Nash emerge from the jungle after encountering a Spinosaurus. Nash yells at the others to get on the plane and quickly starts the engines, terrified. As the plane prepares to take off, Cooper shows up in the middle of the runway and begs Nash to stop, which he refuses to do. It was then that Cooper's presence attracted the Spinosaurus which devoured him and violently collided with the plane which took off but immediately crashed into trees.

Udesky and Nash try to call for help on the satellite phone and don't even notice the Spinosaurus scaring Amanda. The dinosaur then tears the cockpit, which forces the two mercenaries to back up but the animal grabs Nash by the legs. It drags him out of the plane and throws him to the ground. Nash crawls while trying to escape but is blocked by the paw of the Spinosaurus which devours him in front of the survivors.
