Mobile Operation Godzilla Universal Expert Robot Aero-type, also known as M.O.G.U.E.R.A. for short, is a giant battle robot created by United Nations Godzilla Countermeasure Center, appearing in 1994 Japanese kaiju film Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, piloted by three of the major characters of the film Lt. Koji Shinjo, Lt. Kiyoshi Sato and G-Major Yuki Gondo.
Appearance[]
M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is a mechanical humanoid giant monster with slight resemblance to mole. Its face is composed out of its characteristic drill where its nose would be, glowing square eyes with no pupils, a horn bend frontwards similar to that of Mechagodzilla, no ears and no mouth. It possesses a massive torso with a hole for Plasma Maser Cannon and short arms with cone-shaped forearms that can split in two, supported by even larger square legs with treads for feet. Like Mechagodzilla, M.O.G.U.E.R.A. has short tail that does not reach the ground. The robot stands at 120 meters (393.8 ft) tall and has mass of 160,000 metric tons.
Powers and Abilities[]
M.O.G.U.E.R.A. has an expansive arsenal of weapons. The most heavily-utilized and standard weapon are the plasma laser cannons built into its eyes, which rapidly fire yellow plasma shots that are 3 times stronger than Mechagodzilla's lasers. A drill bit is located in the center of its face, which can be used for close range fighting, something which it's predecessor Mechagodzilla lacked. It's cone-shaped hands are capable of releasing blue energy beams, known as autolasers. Furthermore, the hands can open up and launch spiral grenade missiles. Its chest secretly conceals a plasma maser cannon, a powerful energy weapon which can be fired faster than Mechagodzilla's Plasma Grenade and is said to be the largest and most powerful maser weapon possessed by mankind. It can fly through earth's atmosphere at Mach 1 and through space at Mach 44. It is also capable of moving on land via independent leg action, or with the treads built into its feet and legs. M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is the aggregate form of two vehicles: Land Moguera, a tracked armoured fighting vehicle able to drill through the earth; and Star Falcon, a VTOL craft capable of spaceflight.
Biography[]
M.O.G.U.E.R.A.'s first assignment was to intercept SpaceGodzilla, which was discovered on a course toward Earth. A battle ensued in the asteroid belt leaving M.O.G.U.E.R.A. seriously damaged, though able to return to Earth for repairs. It was during the repairs that it was fitted with the spiral grenade missiles, and the plasma maser cannon. Following the devastation caused by SpaceGodzilla, M.O.G.U.E.R.A. (under its new pilot Yuki Gondo) aligned itself with Godzilla to destroy the greater threat. It shattered SpaceGodzilla's shoulder crystals (thus preventing SpaceGodzilla from absorbing power from crystals), but was damaged beyond repair during the battle; its remains were subsequently obliterated by Godzilla's spiral ray.

- Originally, Godzilla was planned to battle Spacegodzilla alongside Mechagodzilla, but it was the idea of special effects director Koichi Kawakita to revive Moguera from The Mysterians, which was one of his favorite monsters, for the sixth entry in the Heisei series. During development of Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, MOGUERA was nearly replaced by Mechagodzilla, though Kawakita won out. Toho eventually decided to bring back and update the weaker Moguera from The Mysterians instead.
- In Godzilla Save the Earth and Godzilla Unleashed, instead of roaring M.O.G.U.E.R.A. instead repeats it’s name.
- This version of M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is Godzilla's only official ally in the Heisei era.
