Consul M is a supporting character of the 2022 role-playing video game, Xenoblade Chronicles 3. She is a member of the Consuls who bears a strong, mysterious resemblance to Mio.
She is later revealed to be a previous incarnation of Mio, who was unwillingly converted into Moebius when N joined with Z and became Moebius himself, in his goal of being with M for eternity. Having witnessed the atrocities that N has committed and the pain they were both going through, M sought out to end their suffering by secretly joining forces with her current incarnation and pass down her Moebius powers to her.
Like her current counterpart, she is voiced by Minami Tsuda in the Japanese versions and Aimee-Ffion Edwards in the English versions.
Personality[]
M was originally much like her current incarnation; someone that was kind and supportive of her allies and loved ones, especially towards N. Even when her life was approaching near the end of its cycle, M still believed in the possibility of being able to defeat Moebius and spend her remaining time with N.
When she became Moebius, M initially seemed indifferent on the matter, making no comment and simply followed along wherever N went. However, the truth is that she has been of miserable her current existence, due to the pain it has brought upon both her and N, as well as the villain that it has turned N into. The deaths of the inhabitants from the original City is primarily the reason for this, as she felt deep regret over their lost lives and disgust from what N has done.
When she learned of the new generation of Ouroboros and the existence of her current self, M saw this as an opportunity to accomplish her goal by allowing herself to die, believing that this would help N see the truth and return him to man she truly loved. She initially came off as being very antagonistic towards the Ouroboros, but this was done to hide her true intentions.
